Thanks bluecat,

I'm sorry, I missed your posting. The tape turned up at work today so I'll copy it to CD and try them with it over the weekend and post back.

Cheers

Anyone else got the swimming fish screensaver which came with Windows xp? I don't use it, but I imagine cats would love it.

I remember years ago when we had a cat, My Nanna's friend went to Canada I think it was, and brought back this thing called Kittyvideo that was for cats to watch. It just had birds, fish, mice and something else I can't remember now. Our cat didn't bother with it, but my Belle's been know to paw at any moving smilies on the computer screen lol.

I might add this to the Xmas list as Bertie and Bella both love TV.  Bertie enjoys snooker and when the balls go into the pockets, he looks under the TV to see where they went! Bella is always transfixed by Deal or No Deal, but I don't know why!

have you ever taken a video of your own cats - complete with sound effects - and then played it back to them on the telly? We did that once when Swamp was much younger and he walked all around the TV, going nuts trying to get 'in' the actual telly. I hear that this is not such a clever idea btw with the new style screen TVs but imagine viewing one's kittyself in HD and digital surround sound! Of course they may then behave like celebrities as well (or more so than at present).

Wouldn't your cat try to catch the mice on screen and wind up destroying your pooter?

This is serious i have a video for Cats called Cat TV and it is fantastic, if i don't have time to play with Jet and Cleo i stick the video on and they're mesmerised.  It plays sounds that cats love like rustling, slicking and other weird sounds.  On the screen you have mice running about, fish swimming, ball being bounced from one side of screen to other it's cool.

Its funny cos Cleo can be annoying Jet or eating but as soon as the vid is on she sits looking at the tv

Oooh the cat in that video is the image of my Bridge baby Benny.  It gave me quite a shock.  Ollie loves programmes with cats on.  He watched one about Arizona animal rescue the other night, sat on top of my printer with eyes like saucers and talking back to them.  It was so funny

Hiya,

In a word Pheromones

Alfie loves to, quite literally, sit at one's feet, it's okay when I'm on my own, not such a great idea if one has friends round as I have to watch that he's not nipped in the bathroom  ;D

He just sits there as if to say, "why's his litter tray more complicated than ours?"

I'm having a friend come round for a fish and chip supper this evening and what's the betting that one of the boys, probably Frankie does a really smelly poo or a pee just as we're sitting down to eat it?, not everybody loves the great smell of "Eau de chat!" as they say in France. Still they've got a treat tonight so that they won't be left out I've bought some fresh trout which I'll steam cook for them, pampered puds. I'll cook it in the microwave as the smell of steamed fish really turns my stomach.

Cheers

Leigh

OMG Leigh... it is actually rather a scary thought... Oliver has a strange loo fettish, he follows us to the bathroom and likes to stick his muzzle in there, I would flush the loo to discourage him but he doesn't seem too bothered.  we even find some pawprints inside now and then.  Now we REALLY have to remember to close the lid all the time if this is his intention!!

That's funny, I thought this pic of a cat curled up asleep in the loo was funny too  ;D ;D

Like you said, I'm not sure that I'd fancy a cuddle after that  ;D

  Nice one Dolcetta,

Start them young, you never know he might copy that cat, think about what you'll save in cat litter  ;D

Cheers

Leigh

PS I'm not sure who scare me more, the cats or their owners!  ;D

That's what I thought at first... then I thought better... this cat, after taking a (literally) crapload of poo, slips and falls right into the loo!!   :evillaugh: :evillaugh:  I wouldn't fancy this happening to Oliver and come right over to me for a snuggle

Here is the video in question  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ug7WEUxH68

Not to bore some of the folks this is third time posting this pic in 3 days here , but you would enjoy this one I took wednesday night... I was looking at a "performance" of a potty trained cat on youtube and boy Ollie was so very interested and impressed.... he was calling out to him and trying to give him a pat on the back!!

P.S. I would be a little scared to even play with those kitties below with those "Da Bird" thingy for my own safety :evillaugh:

Hiya,

Lovely story about Oliver and the figure skaters

Yes, the thought did come to mind, it only takes a TV proggy with some wildlife on it to get them going. Alfie and Frankie both go potty for anything with birds or cats in it. Suzie, who at 17 is much older, is pretty laid back about the tele except the other evening whilst I was in bed stroking her as she lay sprawled accross me as usual an advert for dog food came on and she suddenly sat bolt upright and glared at this golden retriever dog on the screen and didn't take her eyes off of it until the next ad came on. I'm not sure that I'd fancy having 15lb+ of Frankie launching himself at my 32 inch LCD screen at present they're both happy to look behind the screen but not inside it  ;D

Cheers

Leigh

PS I shouldn't imagine that the owners of the cats below would have bought these videos if they value their pssessions.  ;D

Oliver thinks figure skaters performing on the monitor to be flies and tries to catch them.  At this point it is still funny but once he grows up to the size of your babies (Leigh, Carl, both... and he is showing every sign of the possibility!! ) there could be a danger!! :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
