Just thought i would post this in here aswell so that those of you who havent seen it my other thread can see it in here

The vet called today with the result of the tests they have done on the fluid removed from kittys chest and it was a tumour and they think it was on her heart as they could not see her heart on the xray, they think see may have had it from when she was a kitten and it was passed down from her mum due to how small her lungs where so her little furbabe sisters and brothers have proberbly joined her at the bridge. the vets where suprised how otherwise healthy she was as her coat was so clean and usually they just give up, he was allso suprised she had lived this long so she fought hard and pushed for one more day every day and hid her illness well from her human mummy and daddy till the very end.   one more day kitty

Oh my goodness i missed this yesterday

I am so so sorry -
I was praying that ^Kitty^ would be ok.

It does sound like FeLV and there would have been nothing you could have done for her, I know this doesnt help you at the moment though.
Bless her heart at least she had a Mummy and Daddy who gave her a wonderful life and loved her lots.

Thats how we have been thinking about it atleast she died peacefully and we didnt have to make that tough decision for her, The vet had already warned us before she pasted away that if it was bloody fluid she would live a horrible life and the kindest thing to do would be PTS but it didnt come to that as her heart stopped whilst they were getting the fluid they got over half a pint from her and was still more to come  :'(

Still don't know what it was but could of been one of many things the poor baby  :'(

So sorry to hear the sad news  :(  It must be such a shock for you both, losing any pet is heartbreaking but to lose Kitty so young must be devastating.  From what you said in your posts it seems that she was happy and healthy right up until the end, perhaps it was a blessing that she wasn't made to suffer or have a long drawn out illness   If you PM me your email address I'll send you a collection of words and poems that I've gathered

Remember Our Love

I was chosen today
I'm learning to fly
the world took me away,
but please don't you cry

And I chose you today
to try and be strong
so please don't you cry
and don't say that I'm gone

When you're feeling alone
just remember our love,
I'm up near the stars
looking down from above.

Remember our love
In a moment you'll see
that I'm still here beside you
when you're thinking of me.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

I think its probably made it alot easier by having tiggy + pippin,
Me and my OH have stopped crying for now and just thinking back over all the lovely happy times we had with her in her short life,
She will never be forgotten no matter what she was our first cat together and is loved dearly

I'm so sorry - poor Kitty. She knew she was loved and was well looked after by you, and as you say maybe this was the best way for her in her situation as she didn't have to suffer and struggle for a long time , but very hard for those of you left.

ach!!! :(

I'm So Sorry Tez, Like Black cat said maybe it was not meant to be  :(
You did your best and gave Her a HaPPy Life while she was here..

Thinking of you both :Luv:

R.I.P. Kitty have fun at the Bridge :Luv:

You may well be right and that could be why the 2 little kittens came in to our lives which are both curled up on my gfs lap atm

The vets believe she has probably been poorly all her life as her lungs were small and like the vet said as she has grown her lungs havent so tiny little lungs had to controll a adult cat.

The way we are tring to cope with it is thinking atleast she isnt suffering because if she hadnt of died whilst they were doing it she would of died very soon or had to be PTS.

Thanks for all the support everyone it means alot

I am so sorry for your loss, Tez.

She had a wonderful life with you, that is the most important thing.

In the time she was with us she climbed and got stuk up a tree, Made a friend/BF who she brought back, Sat and watched birds from the window, Woke us up in the mornings for her breakfast and loads of other lovely things.

I spoke to the rescue that she came from and even the lady there cried and blamed herself as they dont test for felv

 :thanks: gill
all this support helps at the moment she was only a baby  :'( all 3 vets at the practice tried there best but nothing more could be done  :'(

She is now buried under an oak tree at the bottom of my gfs mums garden as we will be moving near there soon and can see her whenever we like she is there with lots of other cats and i know she would love it under that tree as when she went to stay there she would lay under that tree.
I would of got her crematred but just havent got that sort of money  :'(

I don't think the vets really know what was wrong with her to be honest, We saw the xray and there was no heart to be seen it was that bad but she didnt seem that ill at all the little fighter just couldnt fight no more.
Atleast she isnt suffering and im quite relieved we didnt have to make the decision wether to PTS or not they rang me and explained and said we needed to think about it as thingd didnt look promising then 35mins later they rang to say her heart had stopped whilst they were draining the fluid :'(  :'(

She was only just over a year old and we had her 3 months atleast the life she had with us was good  :'(
