Royal Canin dental biscuits....

These are wonderful we go through 8kgs a month - 4 meals out of 28 in the month and they all love them, even some of our gumless wonders crunch them

We feed Royal Canin - nearly every sort and Purina, and Hills and the dreaded Iams but they like them in fact last time Robin checked 24 different types of biscuit and 41 different wet foods - not that ours are spoilt!

Well I had no idea about chicken wings, I shall try that. He's used to raw meat on the bone from eating my fingers and arms  .

Does he have his cheek teeth or is the chicken destined to be gummed to death 

Lol. He has cheek ones its the just the teeny tiny ones at the front that are looking a little diminished.

Pearl heartily recommends crunching on a mouse to keep teeth in good condition. 

Both of mine seem to swallow the RC dental - got a sample at a show we did earlier this year. Pearl even swallows the Whiskas Dentabix but Toby has to crunch on them, lack of teeth or no. The dry food they both seem to have to crunch on is the Perfect Fit Active Adult - the kibbles are triangular and quite large.

Iv never seen t/d, are they similar in size?

I've never seen royal canin to compare, but the t/d is bigger than a normal biscuit so I'd imagine they are similar size. 

I've not tried Jaffa on raw chicken wings yet, but he's taken to raw meat like a duck to water!  Despite never having any for the first 9 years of his life (or very little) he gobbles down fairly large chunks of raw meat like he's been doing it all his life.  Mosi is actually more hesitant about it (probably because he has a smaller jaw).

Wings are good, must be raw and fresh.
You may need to wean him onto them as he probably wont be used to chewing to eat. Start off with small cubes of chicken and make them bigger as he learns, then give the tip of the wing and then a whole one.

If you want to help keep your cat's teeth clean then raw chicken wings are the way to go. They are soft and do not splinter, but give their jaws a good workout and clean their teeth. Big dog bones are not suitable for cats.

I read somewhere once that big bones (the type you give dogs) are good for cats' teeth. Is that true? I was thinking of trying Smokey on a bone once I have approval from Purrs peeps!

The teeth he has left are in good condition but there aren't too many left (he has the importamt ones). I want to prevent problems later in life for the poor little mite and I think he'd enjoy getting stuck into a nice juicy bone just as he does with my arm...

....dont even touch the sides     all 6 of them swallowed them whole. I'll stick with chicken wings me thinks.
