I have olive oil  :shy: I will try that tonight.

Dawn, he is such a lovely boy - he is a real purr box and doesn't mind being picked up now  ;D as long as you are petting him he is pretty happy to do anything at all  :)

He has got used to using the little felix bed we left him too, he likes sitting by the door waiting for one of us to go see him so he uses it if its by the door so he can wait curled up in it  :evillaugh:

There is also a little grey furred part of the sofa in there where he likes sleeping. He really is no fuss whatsoever! He doesnt scratch anything he shouldnt, doesnt get into anything, isnt boistrous - its strange for us used to being in the mad house

He would just be happy with a nice warm lap, lots of pets (and catmilk!)
He gave Phil that same look the other day when he brought in biscuits and no meat. How very dare he

To think I might not see those eyes, makes it so hard not to cry, and as we say our long goodbyes, I nearly do.

There was a cat called Google on here who had cracked paws: http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=2192.0

Zephyr sometimes gets dry pads and my vet adviced rubbing a little bit of olive oil into them just to keep them soft.  It usually happens when we turn the central heating on and his lordship sits as close to the radiator as possible
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Have you had the heating on?  With my heating, it dries out Max's skin and he gets dandruff, wonder if it can do the same to paws?

Dawn, I'll mention it to Sean when I see him and see if he can suggest anything, it could be to do with the fact he's been living rough and not used to being inside.  I hope he's behaving himself okay and not eating you out of house and home bless him  :Luv:  Hopefully with some tlc, he'll soon fatten up   I can still picture that look he gave your OH when he brought the bowl of water in for him

Give him a big cuddle from me and I'm so pleased he's got such a loving foster mum, xxxxxxx

Our lovely foster puddy Lucas has got really dry and flaky skin on his paw pads on all four paws (from what I can see, as I tried to look and he was headbutting me to pet him instead  :Luv: )

Do you think it is probably due to the fact he was living rough for god knows how long and also being malnourished? (He is so skinny  :( we are giving him endless biscuits, meat twice a day and catmilk once or twice a day)

I was just wondering if there is anything I can put on them to help them not be so sore or to help them soften and heal etc - does that sound silly? Maybe some kind of oil that wont affect him if he licks it? If he lets me put anything on his paws while he is in "snuggle me" mode  :)
