Awwww, Beanie sounds adorable  :Luv:  Next door's cat Freda comes over to say hello most evenings when I get in from work, I have her trying to get in, Max trying to get out, and me just wanting to get to fridge for a nice glass of wine  :evillaugh:

Oh Clare, that made me chuckle

Susanne, that was what Beanie was like at first, and we were sort of glad she was weary of people as you never know what type there are around who will do horrid things to cats. I think I would rather mine were cautious when out and about, I know Cheese probably would be but Doc would go home with anyone.

Yay for new friends!!

I have a ginger cat that follows me when I go and put my washing out! He's huge, but sleak and a really pale ginger with a big bushy tale!
For a man to truly understand rejection, he must first be ignored by a cat.

Dogs believe they are human. Cats believe they are God.

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

He sounds lovely.

There's a very petite black and white cat who is usually hanging around the car park when I get home from work every day.  I don't know who s/he belongs to but has been hanging around for years (wears a collar and is obviously well looked after - not a stray) but is quite timid and runs from me if I try to approach.

It is lovely, I normally feel a bit exasperated after the hour drive home with all the lunatics on the motorway but she makes me beam when I see her little face happy to see me  ;D

Of course, its lovely to see my three when I make it into the house but they have to love me cause i'm their meowmy  ;)

Gerti is like Oliver - she will hide behind the sofa(even though she LOVES fuss and purrs for England) when people come - except for when a few people come who can coax her out  :)

Thats great Dawn - doesn't it make you feel special when a cat picks you?  :Luv:

That's sooooo sweet!! :Luv:  Glad you found a lovely friend!!
It is true that cats KNOW and detect cat people right away.  Usually when we have a visitor Oliver scampers away immediately and lodge himself under the bed never to come out until the coast is clear, but he makes exceptions with 2 people who are really feline sort, he hangs around with them and let them fuss over him and all, purrr, purrr, purrring!

I thought I would post about the lovely marmalade cat who walks me home at night  ;D

When we first moved in a few weeks ago we kept seeing her playing in the garden from our window but I never saw her while I was outside, and when Phil did, she ran away from him!

One night I parked my car in the little car park of our building and when I opened my car door there was a big chorus of meows - looked round and there she was! really timid but purring her head off and wanting fuss  ;D

So that happened for a few days in a row, it was like she knew the time I come home at and she started associating me with snuggles - she has such a loud meow meow meow meow meow until you go over and pet her  :Luv:

Anyway, Phil was petting her too one day and the lady who owns her (who lives in our building) said she doesnt normally like people so must know we are cat people - and that her name is Beanie and she is an ex-feral kitty  ;D

So every day now when I get out of the car if she isnt there, I call her name and she comes meow meow meowing out of a bush or over some grass to see me  :evillaugh: I have to walk up the drive and round the gardens to get to the front door and shes started walking me round, she keeps making sure I am still following and then stopping every now and again to rub on my leg, so it takes me 15 minutes to get round to the front  yesterday we found a feather and played with that for a bit - she is so lovely.

I have attached a picture of her when she has dropped me off at the door  :evillaugh: her own door is around the side so I say to her "go home to your mummy now"  :Luv:
