As you know our cats all have a little personallity of their own and thats why you will never meet a little one as special as Ginger but Im sure you have his own little quirkey things and ways to remember him by.  :)

RIP Ginger x

Thanks guys, I dont normally get this down with anniversaries, and Ginger was the 6th cat I lost, but the only one who wasn't ill and at the vets, so it was so unexpected. It was his way though, he seemed to do most of things with no fuss. I feel sorry for my current cats, Molly does keep being told to go away, bless her. I Wish I Could let myself be comforted by all the good things I did for him. And just to top the day off, boyf decided we should go back to being friends last night. I hope it doesn't take months to be back to normal, cos there is only 3 months between his anniversary and PEbbles, then a month later is my granddads.
Please spay your cat

I understand totally Desley and I couldnt understand why I seemed to be so down in early Jul but it was the build up to Kocka going to the bridge and then I dont get over that before its her birthday on Aug Bank holiday Monday.

Now I am feeling a bit more up but seems to take months to get back to 'normal'.

I agree with Lynn that some cats are just so special that they live in your heart much more than others and also others never quite come up to the standard they set in ones  life either.

My thoughts are with you cos Ginger was very special

Desley - so sorry that you are having a bad day

I find it helpful to buy something nice for the graveside which is what I did today.  Two lovely angels, a big cross and some silk flowers.  If you dont have a grave then buy yourself a big bunch of flowers and put Ginger's picture next to them - I do that as well in the house.

Hope it gets better in time

Can't say anything more to help except that there are lots of us who understand completely - much as we love all our furbabes some just have that extra, extra, special place in our hearts.    I am sure that, just as we have found so much friendship here on Purrs (and Catchat), so have our loved ones up on Rainbow Bridge.

I too know exactly how you feel its been 3 months since I lost Gizmo and my heart aches as much as the day I lost him. I cant remember how many times I have said sorry to the others for sitting in a trance not even noticing they are by my side wanting a hug LOST IN THOUGHT ABOUT HOW MUCH I MISS GIZZY. Its awful when they have that most special place in your heart like Ginger, Tiggy, Bob, kocka and  Gizzy had    as they leave such an almighty hole (and lots of other fur babes too)

I love to bits my remaining 8 but Gizmo was like my best friend and I speak to him daily I do believ in Rainbow bridge and Im sure that our fur babes are all playing hard and enjoying their pain free life waiting for us to go there to that special place one day.

Sending you BIG HUGS as I know how your feeling

LOVE ALWAYS TO OUR BRIDGE BABIES

I know exactly how you feel, just when it seems to be getting easier your mind will only go backwards and then the pain is as raw as ever.  If you truly believe in Rainbow Bridge then you must know that he is waiting for you...

It is a day short of a fortnight to Ginger's anniversary, and I am really struggling - never had this problem before, but I did always know he would be the hardest of all my cats to lose, he was such a special boy, and I dont think I will ever meet a cat as special and wonderful as him. And to make things even harder on myself, Ginger is dominating my thoughts, and i dont even seem to be thinking of Pebbles much, which makes me feel guilty, although it was easier with her, as she had so many illnesses, I know I did the right thing, whereas Ginger's was such a shock, and while he was only 15, he had spent 3 years on the streets. I cant even make myself feel better by thinking of all the good things, like taking him off the streets when no one else would, and getting his teeth sorted cos he could barely eat, and keeping my promise that this would be his last home. I miss him so much, and dont even feel like the same person I was this time last year at the moment. Miss you my wonderful man, I so wish you were still here with me.
Please spay your cat
