Cats don't come when they are called,
They take a message and get back to you later.

Poor little one, play hard at the bridge.

My heart stopped this morning while waiting for the bus a young black cat ran across the road right in front of a car, thankfully she wasn’t hit but I was shaking the whole way to work.

She had a pink collar on so she’s probably has a home, I’m just glad I didn’t have to find who the owners were and tell them she’d been hit.

I'm Not trying to change subject of post, :( sorry,
Yes Michelle, that's what went through my head when I saw poor cat " some heartless :censored: has run down and left
somebody's cat in the middle of the road for other car's to go over " I just couldn't leave it there
one part of me is glad I stopped, but to be honest if I knew what was going to happen next, I wouldnt have  :( :( :(
the damage these car's do to furbabes is unreal  :(
the guy who ran down my Grandfather's cat (Fraser) actually Stopped, knocked on his door and asked if he had a cat
He Then carried Him down to my Granda, although upset, I thought it was decent of the guy to do that and he was visably
upset himself :( and there was not a mark on Fraser.

Firstly - RIP little cat, hope it was quick. Play forever at the bridge now xx

Secondly, I know excatly what you mean Stuart
My Marmite and Storm were just left in the road to die, the drivers never stopped. My neighbour brought marmite to me but i had to pick my poor Storm's lifeless body out of the road myself.

My Star was slightly different, at least the women stopped and picked her up but then she put her STILL ALIVE in the boot of her car and TOOK THE CHILDREN TO SCHOOL before taking her to a vets - oh surprise surprise Star was dead when she got her there ( :censored: idiot)

I had a similar experiance about 16 yrs ago, and came across this cat in the middle of the road, I turned the car
around and stopped to put cat on the grass verge, I bent down to see if there was a collar, and that's when I
discovered the Poor thing was Still Alive :(  :( I shall refraine from going into detail's, BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET
that as Long as I live, and It still Haunt's me to this day :( :( :(
People can be so unfeeling at Time's, the nearest house I knocked at they were more concerned about "who was
going to pay for vet bill !!" I angrily said I'll pay the bill !! would you Please just Phone a Vet!!!! >:(

they phoned the police >:( I stayed with the cat till the end  :( :(, and then the family came up to see >:(
And I can still hear the little girl saying " oh it's mrs simpson's cat from next door "  >:(

anyway enough ranting

 :RIP: Little One :(

What a sad post to make on my return to Purrs, but tonight we lost a friend.
Staying at my folks at the moment and tonight someone knocked at the door, saying a cat was, well, you all know, in the street.
My dear husband had to tell the dear sweet charming little girls family and make sure the cat looked as OK as it could have done given the circumstances and obvious speed of the car. As a ' cat person ' it's heartbreaking for him, it's not so long ago he had to do the same in our area, for some old dears cat that had been hit by someone who again hadn't stopped, either to avoid hitting it or to have the guts to tell someone they'd done it.
Another taken much too soon.
It sticks in my throat after the other day when I was defending keeping cats indoors, her ' parents ' loved her oh so much and are completely devastated, I don't blame them in any way at all, it's just such a dreadful shame, I'm so sorry they have to feel this pain and the kitty has lost her life.

She was a lovely sweet charming cheeky little girl, and even tho I didn't know her for very long, I'll always remember her.
You can fall for a cat so quickly as you know, and she was utterly adorable.

A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere. Groucho Marx.
