I know there are two models of litter locker and I got the original one which I found quite good, though it gets filled up pretty quickly with the amount of cats I have.  The ones PAH were giving away were itter Locker 2 and I got a couple of these but I thought they were pretty useless.  The trouble is that now PAH do the refillsfor litter locker 2 but not the original so will have to go on line to get them.

The original is good and I think anyone with one or two cats would find it useful but any more than that and you have to empty it pretty regularly, sort of negating the reason for having one. (I must admit in the days gone by when there were less cats and we went away occasionally the cat sitter thought the oriiginal litter locker was great.)

I thought the litter locker was really good.  Althought I don't use it all the time.  I bought mine for when I go on holiday so the cat sitter didn't have to open the back door to get to the bin and risk Zephyr escaping.

sorry to sound like a broken record but if you are considering using worlds best do try chick crumb is it loads cheaper and does exactly the same thing

Haha! I'm glad I'm not the only one sounding like a broken record

there not cheap when you have to buy cartiges to put in em and i had it in the house for 4 days and it stunk , i had to put it outside by the back door , now a week later its near the wheely bin and i cant even bear to opn lid to put waste in it

Thats a shame that it didnt work - I was just gonna ask you how you'd been getting on with it!

I agree they're pretty crap.  Although I do find it helps marginally.  I put soiled litter into nappy sacks and then into the litter locker.  It does help with the smell as otherwise I just put them on the bathroom floor until I go out and can take them to the dustbin, and sometimes I forget on the way out in the morning so a few can pile up.  They don't smell a lot as they're in scented nappy sacks, but being in the litter locker is an improvement (if only visiually!).  However, it is just a fancy bucket with no bells and whistles to really do anything.  Just a thick plastic bag!  The refills are expensive so I've not used mine for a while.  I wouldn't put the litter straight into the locker either (as per instructions) as I've had a few bags rip and when you get to the end you suddenly run out of bag and there'd be soiled litter everywhere if it wasn't already in a bag.

maybe the bag had split or something? My mate has 2 and they seem to work well - was thinking of getting one meself!
No double bagging, she just pops the solids in the end and twists the knob.

They were giving them away in PAH a while back.

Anyway, I just use Wilkinsons medium food bags and double bag - they are 10p for 20 and they are huge so so chance of getting cat pooey on your hand  :evillaugh:

i scoop poo out of tray , bag it in letter bag then put it in the litter locker so its like im double bagging

when i went out today there were flys on it

its going right in the bin , when they come to empty it in 2 wk  >:(  what a waste of money

im going to try the worlds best litter cause you can flush it , lets see how long that lasts
