Aw Claire it was fab fun.

We just hit loads of traffic on the M1 and a small diversion to avoid a long queue on the M6. Mum kept quiet the whole way  :sneaky: as she was so knackered she didn't care about the times I did hit 110!  :evillaugh:

Overall they all had fun and Pav is very taken with Paws Inn.

I forgive you for being rude and telling your mum I smelled  :tired: next time I'm going to eat a whole clove of garlic and beg a night in your spare bedroom  :evillaugh:

Seriously though the amount of money raised was phenomenal and its an honour to have been part of that albeit in a small way.

Oh Ruth - you must have been shattered after a hard day helping AND having to drive there and back.  I hope your mum and Pav were ok and you didn't have to make too many toilet stops!  At least you had scones and cake to nibble on in the jam - or did it take you so long because you had to drive at a sedate 55 mph with mum in the car!!  ;)  It was lovely to meet more of your family and as always to see you again (ever if I was rude to you most of the time xx)

It was also lovely to meet Carl, Laura and Ems and Jon and to put faces to names on the forum.

We had a great day and everyone was so generous.  We couldn't have done it without people taking the time to visit and spend some of their hard earned cash, so thank you to everyone that physically came and also those that came in spirit and donated too.

It was a real team effort with everyone doing their bit to make the day a success - I might have come up with the idea, but it took everyones help and support to make it deliver a great result.  It will help with the vet bill and the next litter delivery as the cupboard cats are using it like no-ones business, but DEFINITELY better in the tray than on the floor!!!

Watch this space for the next event.....I can feel a Christmas mince pie party coming on or maybe a halloween bash complete with black cats!!!

Claire xx

Simply Purr fect.
Our rescues all made sure they looked their best for all their admirers; the outdoor ferals made themselves scarce apart from Monica who thought the Gazebo complete with all sale goods etc was wonderful. Wisp was highly delighted that her pen got a ringside view of the Tombola;whilst the cupboard cats were happy to watch the cream teas being enjoyed. The house ferals had a birds eye view from their bedroom window and the cats in the main pens enjoyed all the extra attention. Buster , Minimopsical and Tula took turns in mingling with the crowds on the Patio and Anastasia bless here successful captured as many laps as she could. Not a single cat was stressed in fact they loved it. Almost forgot Tabasco, he serenaded the wonderful ladies in the kitchen as they worked so hard serving all those cream teas.
It was a lovely day, with lovely weather, wonderful updates on cats we have rehomed especially Vanity, Vega, Winnie,Polly, Bill,Ted and so many others.
Ems it was lovely meeting you and Jon and many thanks for the future raffle prize.
Special thanks to Ruth for her help.
And a huge thanks to Claire , Claire not only organised yesterday but also did most of the hard work and it is down to her dedication that a massive
833.88 was raised for our needy rescues.

I've only just made it home. Traffic bad was awful but no mind we had heaps of fun!!

Thanks T, Rob and Claire for a wonderful day. Mum was smiling all the way home and so was Pav.   I had very little to do with it Ems, just turned up and made myself useful, Claire and T did all the hard work, and fab it was!

Lexy dispensed the expected lecture when I got home and I believe Pav got the same from her Phoebe.

I will leave T to tell everyone of the day.

Just thanks again. We love visiting.

So sorry we didn't make it. Shaunnagh decided we were going to Port Sunlight instead. As it was her holiday and she had really wanted to go to Bath but I hijacked her to come to Chester there really didn't seem to be anything i could do to prevent it. At least the weather was glorious. Hope you had a great day and a successful fundraiser.

Just a quickie to say what a lovely day Jon and i had today, thanks so much to Teresa, Rob, Claire and Ruth for a great afternoon.

Hopefully lots of money was made so that the fabulous Paws Inn can keep on providing the amazing care that it does.  ;D

It is the most amazing place and every single one of the cats are gorgeous (especially Buster, what a hunk!), Jon found a friend in one of the kittens in the cupboard and wanted to take her home (I forget which one they were all so cute.. Tasha I think!)

Oh and as everyone already knows Minimopsical is fabulous, but she is even more fabulous in the fur!  :Luv:

Anyway thanks again,

Ems, Jon and lots of purrs for all of the Paws Inn residents from Nina and Kiki

Cheesecake
The good news is you get to meet all the cats, the bad news is you`d need a couple of double deckers to catnap them all.
Look forward to seeing you, so is Minimopsical  :Luv:

I hope you have a wonderful day and raise loads of money for Paws Inn

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder that the Paws Inn Summer (!) Fair is STILL taking place this sunday (29th July) between 11am and 3pm.  There will be activities inside if the weather continues to be bad, but we are not letting that stop us!!

I look forward to meeting some of you in the flesh!

You can PM Teresa for details - its not too late to decide to come.  There is plenty of chocolate cake and cream scones to go around, plus lots of cats and kittens to meet, AND we would love you to go away with a prize from our tombola or raffle!

Well, we would love to come to the Paws Inn Summer Fair, but that may not be possible.  However, I think I will send our payments for two Paws Inn teas to Paws Inn in any case.

Anyone else who might like to do this?  Then we would all be there in spirit...

Fortunately I get mostly motorway and with my driving I get to T's in 3 hours instead of 4  :evillaugh:

Though having said that, will have family with me so will probably drive a little slower, my mother will moan the whole way (sorry mum).

Whoohoo I get to meet Cheese.. well her Mum and Dad anyway, but if you extra nice and bring Cheese, Gerti and Doc I promise not to catnap them...not..maybe..no..yes..NO! Ok I won't.

:evillaugh: I don't think anyone would catnap my three, or if they did they would seriously regret it - they are a little cats chorus when you put them in the car.. they keep meowing, and then meowing in reply to the others... until all you can hear is meow meow meow meow meow meow meow

Moving house is going to be fun then  ;)

Will be nice to meet you though Ruth :) and Teresa (and minimopsical!)

Still haven't told Phil we are going, but not taking no for an answer!

I dont know about to Paws Inn Ruth but to London its motorway all the way except about 10 mins on A48 and its 4hrs plus  of motorway driving although there are certain places in Wales where there are speed limits of 50 on the motorway and until you get to Cardiff there are only 2 lanes.

Funny enough when I last did the journey it was raining again when I came over the Seven Bridge back into Wales but they had shoved a 50mph speed limit on cos of spray grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. So may as well been on small roads, was seething LOL.

Also of course all the road works etc also slow one down and I try very hard to stay in speed limit cos of being still classed as new driver which makes my journeys slower than other peeps who are zooming past me at 90!

I have never come up the motorway towards Cheshire but understand it gets pretty bad at times, whether its as bad as M25 I dont know but on way back from London it took me two and half hours to do 70 miles to  change from M25 to M4 and get to Reading grrrrrrrrrrrr. Then motorway madness set in and realized I was doing over 80 and the cars were just leaving me for dead cos everyone was  2hrs late!

Wish I was fitter and didnt get tired so quick  :(

I hear you. Difficulty for you I am sure as well is that you are on A roads most of the time. If you had motorway it would probably shed an hour each way.

Thanks very much Ruth  ;D

Sadly that rules me out then cos 8 hrs driving is too much for me within 24 hrs at the moment. Was hoping to do a day trip to London a month ago but can tell that after doing the journey over 48hrs, I still am not fit enough to do it within 24  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Gill, according to the RAC Routeplanner and Maps at Google, the journey from Carmarthen to T's is about 4 hours. Roughly same as from London.
