Oh, Dawn... I didn't want to sound like I was criticising.  :-[

There's a place and room for every little fluffy one.  :wow: But you know how it is... the minute by back is turned and I start to think about a new addition, I look down and a battered oldie is there looking up at me for his dinner.  :Luv: I swear word gets around puddydom and they tell each other where the 'soft' people are...  :shify:  :evillaugh:

One day I'll have my british blue....  :)

Thanks all for your kind comments.

It would of been rescue all the way for me, I have 2 rescues now, my last moggy was a rescue too, and he was out of a feral female, absolutely beautiful Cat but very much an outdoor Cat that could not be kept in.  He used to tavel a LONG way to get to the golf course, where he spent his time, he rarely came back untill after midnight, regardless of the weather, and its strange to say but I was pleased around November because he hated fireworks and didnt go out.  I put up inverted fencing and he still got out, I watched him literally run up next doors 8ft extension, hang onto the overhang, then swing his back end up onto the roof, just to get out.  I knew the inevitable would happen, and just after his 3rd birthday it did, he got killed on the road where he crossed to get to the golf course, we were gutted.

I made the decision then, go for a Cat with a laid back, placid temperament and the BSH fitted the bill, I had always liked them anyway. They never ever attempt to get out of the garden, its secure as it was before, inverted fencing all the way round, and the Cats (including my others) are safe.  The oldies are not interested in getting out anyway, but I am relieved in the knowledge no harm can come to them.

Our first Cat was a rescue and we have had 3 more rescues since.
Dawn.

Ooh he is gorgeous! British shorthairs are one of my favourites, my first cat Cleo was a British Shorthair. I got her as a rescue not knowing that but she had all the characteristics and the "purrsonality" of a BS. They are like big teddy bears - scrumptious  :Luv:

He is gorgeous - One of the B&B's round here has a blue and she lets him in the street  :( - she said he is streetwise though as they moved here from Leytonstone

You have to space words like chocolat e as if you type it as one word, it becomes chocolate.

the word for female dog becomes princess

various body parts and swear words change as well  :evillaugh:

Em,
I fell in the same Tan trap when describing Paddy's colouring.  It changes the 'gap word' into 'healthyfood'  ;D
Best wishes, Chris, Samson, Buddie and Pepper

I have just tried to reply to ask why everyone is putting gaps into the word cho co late... then I found out why!    Tan is a real joker at times.  :evillaugh:

I think Rowan is absolutely wonderful and EXACTLY the kind of puss I want one day.  :Luv: :Luv: But there's still a steady stream of unloved moggies banging on my door so it won't be any time soon.  :(

This is Rowan, he is a c h o colate self British Shorthair. He's settling in well and is playing up a treat!
Dawn.

and less than 24hrs of being here, and having never set eyes on a dog before, he has quickly realised they can be useful!
