Great news i told you they wouldn't have trouble finding homes. I know what you mean when they leave though the ones I have got at the mo are all going in sept so I will be in tears again you just can't help it because you give all your love to them but without that love they wouldn't beable to cope with new homes.

UPDATE:At last I had the cats protection guys from Hornchurch telephone me last night, who have informed me that they have found suitable homes for the 3 kittens, the boy is going to a doctor and his wife and the 2 sisters are going together to a teacher. I feel a bit sad now that they are hopefully going to pastures new, but it is the right thing for me to do. I will miss them all terribly when they have gone, I have tried desperately not to get attached to them but it's damn hard not to. :) Not only this Mollie the mother finally had her day at the vets yesterday and was spayed. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for the help and comments.

So I lived in Kent as a child without knowing it  ;D - I told you I lived in Beckton in the 60's  ;D

It makes sense though as I guess its further downriver.

When I lived there it was still greater London but still comes under Essex (the border is Barking creek)

Although way back, mile end was in essex, old street was middlesex and south of the river was surrey (in the1700's I think)

and oddly enough, Beckton was part of Kent!!! which I guess means I have been a Kentish Maid ever since i got here ...

It was originally Essex but is now part of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Yes the Ford factory is (was) there but is now closed and has become part of the largest brown-field regeneration site in Europe (sorry, it's my job to know these things, boring but true).

I think Dagenham is the largest council estate in the world (it was in the guiness book of records  :evillaugh: ). It was always a bit rough round the edges but its much worse now than when I grew up there in the 70's

Have you passed on a list of rescues in the area?

CC, she doesn't want to keep them. That's why she's trying to find homes for them. She took in the mother as a stray when she was pregnant with a broken leg from what I gather.

And don't worry, I'm crap with geography too!

Thought it was Essex?  I know that the Ford plant is there and as such the cars are known as Dagenham Dustbins ........ I can't possibly comment of course  :evillaugh:

They are gorgeous, aren't they? The dark torti especially makes me "ahhhhh!" Too far for me to do much, too!

Three kittens needing homes - Dagenham

Cross Posted with permission:

Hi, I have 4 kittens that need to find good new homes. They are from a cat I rescued with a broken leg who had 6 kittens of which 2 have been adopted by the nurses at the vets (I don't need any lectures or comments about spaying please) They are now 9 weeks old and have reached the age where they have started to run riot in the house.  >:(
I would love to keep them all, but as I already have 4 other cats, so having 8 cats in the house just isn't an option. I only want them to go to good, loving homes with a garden as they are use to this. They are all healthy and have been checked fortnightly by the vets. There are 3 girls and 1 boy.

*Edited to say, one of the kittens has found a home with a veterinary nurse. The pictures are of the three still needing a home. :) The tabby is male, the other two are female. (Fairly obviously, because they're tortis!)*
