We have Arden Grange here. One of my cats and the foster cat eat it and do well on it (along with wet food) but the other isn't a biscuit eater.

I also have it for the dogs - adult lamb and rice. However, I and others who have used it have found that the dogs tend to put on weight quite readily with it (even when fed proper measured amounts). I've had to take my weight gaining prone lab off it, but my other girl still has it as she is less prone to weight gain and more active. It produces nice poos and shiny coat and other than to watch the weight gain, I would recommend it (also cos not tested on animals). They both eat it no prblems but then they are very good at eating whatever is put in front of them!

Sam - I've discovered Orijen and Mosi is on it at the moment.  He doesn't eat much dry but has a bit sprinkled on top of his wet.  He loves it and since I started feeding him tht (with no grain wet) I've noticed his poos are a lot less smelly!

Iv bought it and mine ate it but are like Sams lot and eat whatever i give. I tried it when i first found out about animal testing pet food companies as its one of few approved cruelty free foods.

I ordered some Orijen cos it was so cheap but havent opened it yet. Another brand mine like is JWB oh and Joe & Jills  ;D

Susanne ... if you are after a low ceral dry cat food try:

Orijen Cat Food

Orijen cat food is made in Alberta, Canada by an independent family-owned company. Orijen cat food is biologically appropriate, meaning that it contains only fresh, whole foods that cats are naturally evolved to eat. Orijen cat food is very high in proteins, contains little carbohydrates, and no cereals: 75% meat, 25% regional fruit and vegetables, and 0% cereals.

available from Zooplus:  http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/orijen

I've tried it in the past but it's not easily obtainable in shops so I've never used it regularly.  If I recall correctly, it has a good meat content but also a high grain content too (higher than JWB) so I wasn't keen on using it as I prefer low/no grain foods.  I think it's a pretty good food though.

Yep I've tried it and my lot LOVE it ... not that that is much of a recommendation really considering my lot lot seem to eat all dry food! LOL.

They do sell smaller bags if your want to try it out on your lot http://www.ardengrange.com/Pet-Food/all-cat-foods.asp

You could also be really cheeky and contact them and ask if they do any "free samples" ... nothing ventured nothing gained!

My pet shop are saying this is the new "hypoallergenic" food and its had fab reviews but I dont know wheather to try it on my two yet or my dogs.

I have just recenly got them onto james wellbeloved duck and rice and they seem to love it so dubious about trying them on this yet.

Our of curiosity has anybody tried this food on their either cat or dogs?  (sorry for bringing dogs into the thread too but I thaught it was better than opening another thread on the non cat related topic).
Love me,love my animals.
