Although I live in Derbyshire I work in Nottingham City Centre. I'd have helped you out with the homecheck but I've only done a couple and wasn't really feeling brave enough!

Hi ya Rae,

Sorry only just been able to catch up with this thread ... my 'puter at home is playing up!!!  Excellent news about the homecheck - I'm sure it will go fine.

Re: the TBI - I used to work there at weekends and whenever there was a test match on (about 18 years ago!!).

As for the cattle market it is a wonderful place to pass a saturday morning.  I live in Netherfield now so I'm only about 10 mins for the cattle market and about ½ hr from East Leake (far enough away from the parents but close enough when I need them to catsit  ;) )

Morning all!

My favourite place (although I dont get there very much any more) is Nottingham Cattle Market on a Saturday morning.  All the rooms in the auction house are open with different sales going on and there is a market outside too.

I live a fair drive from there now but its a great place for bargains.

Hope you and yours are all well this morning.  Its lovely here- expected to reach 23-24 this afternoon.  Lovely!

I used to love the grandfather clock shop near the A40!  I always vowed that once I was old enough I'd buy one, unfortunately it turned into an estate agents!

Hiya Sam

I am currently talking to Sharon re the elusive kitty and what to do if and when she is found.  I am more than happy to let her join her friend if necessary but I guess that would depend on whether the AWOL kitty is ok once found.

I have kept up with the thread about them and send all my love and luck to everyone who are trying to find her.

I hope that if she is not found that she may have been taken in and is getting loads of love and snuggles and being very well cared for, that would be fantastic for her and everyone involved.

Fingers (and toes) crossed she is ok. :Luv2:

West Bridgford

Thats where I used to live. The balcony on the 3rd floor overlooked the Cricket ground, and people used to knock on the door and ask if they could sit on the balcony.

Hi again

I have now spoken to CP Nottingham and they are going to call me tomorrow to see if they can do a home check on behalf of the other rescue (also a CP) so fingers crossed.

The kitty I am hoping to collect at the weekend is a rescue through Sharon who helped me through Purrs and Catchat  so Im thrilled.

Will keep you all updated.

I know exactly where you are .... very nice.  The houses on Tin Town are really nice now.  I remember when I was at school (Lantern Lane Primary & Harry Carlton) we used to give the TinTown peeps loads of stick but since they have all been done up they are now Des Res's.

I would try Millwood Cat Rescue at West Bridgford and maybe the RSPCA at Radcliffe-on-Trent.  Where are you getting the kitty from?  Is is from a resuce on here?

Hi Sam

Nice to meet you too.

East Leake is lovely and Im lucky as Im at the Harry Carlton School end on Sharpley Drive(where the felds start) and not near to Gotham Main Road.  If you drive along Sharpley it curves round onto St Marys Crescent.  There is a huge Green in front of our house and then the field extend behind the opposite house.  (Im sure you know where I mean).

Listen to me making it sound dead posh (our area is affectionately know locally as tin town due to the houses being supposedly temporary 1940s housing) ;D - I do have chandeliers though!!!

I will no doubt meet you once your inheritance comes good!

I will try a couple of numbers from the list you gave me and fingers crossed all will go fine.

Thanks so much for your help.

Rae :Luv2:

Sorry I can't help with the homecheck thing ... but I'm sure there are plenty of local resuces that can .... if you get stuck check out the list of rescues on http://www.catchat.org/adoption/notts.html

I shouldn't imagine you'll have any probs passing the homecheck East Leake is lovely and would make the perfect home for any kitty (I'd love to move back there but can't afford it  :( ... I'll just have to wait to inhereit the house!  )

Nice to meet you

OMG I was brought up in East Leake .... my parents live on Stonebridge Drive (where I spent 20 years).  I left home 21 years ago (oh dear that gives my age away!).

Are you new to the area?

Hi everyone.   I am a newbie.  Thanks for all the lovely welcomes they are so appreciated.

After a few years of having no little kitty around I have the chance to rehome a kitty at the weekend. ;D , really exited.  I need a home check before then as this little puss is not from my local area.  Is there anyone on here or does anyone know of someone that will give me the all clear on behalf of another rescue.

I can get a vet ref but they will not know my home or garden etc and it really needs to be 100% right for the sake of my possible new baby.

I am in East LEake village, between Gotham and Loughborough.  I know that my local CP opens at 11 and I will be calling them but if there is anyone who could offer alternative advice or even a check over the next few days that would be fantastic.

Thanks everyone and sorry if Ive posted  this on the wrong thread.

Hugs from a very exited
Rae
