Has anyone tried the Litter Kwitter??!?

Well that was educational! 

I didn't think of all the implications.  True that it'd be difficult to see any poop blood or to check ..ahemm...around the tray for abnormalities.

And also, can you imagine having to queu up for the toilet waiting for kitty to be done???
Endless agruments...

I don't think they'd fall in, but as I have 4 training them one by one would be impossible, also cause the ad says to remove the tray altogether, and just leave the Kwitter on.  That would get me a lot of stained carpets...

And true, the baby seat would do just as well!

Just getting Ozzy to use the litter tray and not crap just to the left of it would make me happy at the moment. 
Honestly people I have tried everything. scrubbed the square of carpet I put down with biological washing liquid, then saturated the area with "simple solution" bought more litter trays, changed the litter every week even when its hardly been used. Put her crap into the tray after she has gone on the floor to show her "this is where its meant to go"  Now replaced the spare square of carpet with lino so its easier to clean.

Maybe she wants to use my loo, she keeps following me in there. Maybe I should put a litter tray in the bathroom as well.

Unless you train them to flush (and imagine the scope for trouble making there!) can you imagine coming home from work to a loo full of unflushed cat pee and poop?    I'll stick to scooping, thanks!

I would be too scared to use it. I am always making sure toilet seats are down in case one of the cats falls down head 1st 
I would be even more nervous with kittens around

My thoughts exactly. Also although I do not have a problem with my husband, how many times do we hear women complaining that men leave the toilet lid up?

One of the reasons why we should always have a litter tray is to know when a cat has a problem, we hear them constantly keep scratching at the litter yet nothing has been passed. We would not know if the cat has a weeee problem if it went in the loo unless perhaps blood was passed.

I think that a child's toilet seat would have the same (if not better) effect.......plus they are padded so better to get a grip for them......

The general idea to train your cat to use the loo is to put his/her litter tray next to the loo (on floor) then to slowly (over a matter of time) raise the tray (with books etc) then when it is level with the bowl your to put a metal bowl in the toilet bowl with litter in....then take litter away when cat is comfortable with doing that.....now that sounds easy eh....

OH is even worse than me - I was told off for leaving washing powder out the other day "in case one of the cats licks it and gets sick" 

Oh, is that not normal?! I worry about things like that too.

I had a cat who trained herself to use the toilet. As I live alone it was quite disconcerting to come home and find that my toilet had been used in my absence. Then one evening, I heard someone using it and went in and found Tabitha looking mildly self-conscious sitting on the seat. I had a burmese at the time who had also learned to flush the toilet (she used to enjoy playing with the rushing water). Unfortunately I could never get them to coordinate their efforts ......

I think it's a fab idea if you can get your cat trained to use it especially with the amount of cats I have    I would like to see visitors reaction though if they need to loo and you have to tell them the cat is in there, so they'll have to wait        I think when I get a bit of spare dosh, I may consider it actually.........it's got to be better than cleaning out litter trays 

I'm pretty sure Lainey has bought something similar, I'm not sure how hers are getting on with it though

I recently found out about it and I was wandering if anyone has trid training their cats to use it...it would sort out a lot of litter problems!  (tracking, smells, etc...)
But does it work, and would the cats be happy???
