She is doing my head in again, I think on days with an odd number in it, she poo's out side the litter tray and on days with an even number she goes inside the litter tray.

Whats very strange, when she looks like she is about to go outside her litter tray, and I shout "Oh no you bloody don't!" and point my finger at her, she then gives me the look of a sulking teenager then goes in her tray... Its as if she knows what she is doing....

Ok just to me make me look stupid on here, Ozzy has just run in for the garden, gone to her litter tray, without any mieowing or fuss, gone to her litter tray, dropped a poo that stinks like Satan's crusty pants, then run out to the garden again. This cat is teasing me!!!

The paws cat litter is the white (catsan) style cat litter.
Looks like I will be going to the pet shop again tomorrow. More cat litter and more enzyme cleaner

I use the sainsburys paws obsorbant and odor control. I used to put the hood on but she refused to use it, so I took the hood off.
I am sure its deep enough, 6cm's. I have changed the litter, used to be the grey clumping, but I heard this might be bad for a kitten as they may eat it and choke on it.

Has this new habit started since changing? I think shes trying to say she dont like! Is the paws absorbant wood pellets?

Clumping clay can cause problems if they eat it but a 5 month old is less likely to eat it than a teeny kitten whos part way through weaning.
I really reccomend what tesco sell.

Tabbies come in male and female as do ginger cats.

Sorry we misread your post as two yrs old !! 

I think as she is still so young and you do the cleaninhg right , others may have some suggestions on how to help

Yeah she is crapping outside her box.

I use biological washing liquid with a brush to clean the stain, then apply the enzyme pet stain remover.
Oh she has 2 litter trays and does the same thing at both trays.
She is nearly 5 months old, maybe she is having a teenage rebelion.

As a precaution I have put some spare carpet under her litter trays to spare my carpet (I rent and don't want to piss off my landlord)

I was thinking attention too and I think goatboy posted something about this on another thread.

Reckon it maybe hard to break if this has been going on for two years and maybe she would have to be retrained maybe in a dog cage with tray...........but I am no expert on this.

Its odd at her age she has to still be put in the tray. If she can get in on her own when your out i would stop, could be an attention thing 

I would also give an extra tray of fine sand like litter and see if she likes that. Tesco sell a tub for £5, its called sophisticat choice.

You meaning she's deafacating outside the tray ?

What type of litter do you use, have you changed it ? Is is deep enough inside the tray ?  does she prefer if you clean it more often ?  is the litter tray in the same spot ? 

Maybe try to place the tray slightly over where she's going, Or get a hooded tray maybe..or if you have a hooded one try an open one.

what do you clean the soiled spot with ?

Ozzy is starting to go to the toilet just outside her litter tray's (she has 2) She isn't over shooting, but on purpose she is going on the floor.
She only does this when I am around, when I leave her on her own she is more than happy to use her litter tray. I sift her tray every morning and clean it every week.
She has only started doing this and I have no idea why, I get the usual "I want to go to the loo" miaow, I place her in the litter tray, she jumps out, then I put her in again. I turn my back for a few minutes and there is a steaming pressent next to her litter tray.

Please HELP!!!
