I have thought  about what would happen to my lot if i popped my clogs & they still here  my family wouldnt be bothered to take them so Im still stuck on this matter ?  Its probably easy to get someone to take cats/dogs but when it comes to small furries NO ONE  will take them on

I remember we have talked about this before on Purrs.

I have a problem as i have 11 cats !!

I have joked with my Mum about it and said that if anything happens to me i leave her ALL my cats in my will lol

My lot could be split though

5, 3, 2 and 1

But finding someone to take on the group of 5 would be very hard but they couldnt be split as they are Issey and her 4 children

We joined up as Friends of the Mayhew and today, our welcome packs arrived.  I read that the Mayhew has a scheme whereby it guarantees to take in and find new homes for the pets of deceased Friends

We have done this for years. Although people do not have to give a penny or be a 'Friend'.

I forgot to tell anyone that last weekend, OH and I went to the Open Day at the Mayhew Animal Home.

We joined up as Friends of the Mayhew and today, our welcome packs arrived.  I read that the Mayhew has a scheme whereby it guarantees to take in and find new homes for the pets of deceased Friends.

This has got me thinking.  Obviously it only applies in the event of sudden, unexpected demise, but we live in an uncertain world  :scared:

I have not thought it through properly, but I wonder if Purrs could facilitate a similar arrangement?  Perhaps if people made their arrangements privately by PM with friends whom they trusted?

Just a thought...

Be careful out there  :Luv:
