particularly the section about cats opening doors.

Which reminds me of a foster cat I once had (in the days when we did allow cats to mix with our own). One day I was sitting in the lounge, glanced out of the window and noticed my cats in the garden (my cats are indoor cats). I thought that I had been careless and not closed the back door properly. I rounded them up but a foster cat Sophie was missing. I searched and searched, then went into neighbours gardens eventually after walking through gooseberry bushes and raspberry canes I found her. This happened time and time again, by now my legs were almost in shreds. One day the kitchen door was open and I noticed Sophie, jump onto the door handle and bounce up and down until it opened. Problem sorted  as long as I remembered to lock the door.

That is interesting, JS, particularly the section about cats opening doors.  Blip has learnt to do it rather in the way described in the article, while my former neighbours cat, Noodles, would stand on her back legs and manipulate our living room doorknob to open it.  It was amazing to watch.   :wow:
