Tis a good idea to test a small area first  ;D

I tried vanish in one of my bedrooms and it left a permanent halo so I had to buy a rug to cover the marks  :-:

Hi and  :welcome:

I use simple solution initially but it does leave a stain behind.  I recently used some vanish carpet stain remover (forget exactly what it's called) and it totally got rid of the stains.  I have a couple of little vomiters too  ;D

Try oxy-kic pet from lakeland - it costs about £10 but works really well. One of mine bought up a soggy furball the other day. I picked the furr up with kitchen towel and sprayed the stain (it was bile, no food) and it vanished straight away. You are supposed to leave it 5 minutes and dab with kitchen towel. My carpet is cream 80% wool.

I tried it on expensive curtains that have a blue embroidered pattern with a cream background and the blue ran so be careful if you use it  ;D

Not a nice subject for my first post, sorry!  Our 17yo cat Bean seems to generate more fur ball type sick than she used to.  Probably one every two weeks.  Problem is it often leaves our cream carpet stained, depending I think on what is in the food she has been eating.  Any tips from the veterans out there?  I have a steamer which works well sometimes but not always.
