We had Tallulah and Tabitha and they existed nicely in the same house. We then got Teddie and it was a little rocky road at 1st but then everything settled down with the help of feliway diffusers and everything seemed fine. Then she started coming home less and less. Even before we got Teddie she would go off for a few days but always came home. Then she just started coming home less and less till not at all.

So I guess it was Teddie that made her mind up and I feel terribly guilty about it all so all I can do now is find Tallulah someone who will love her like we do  :'(

MM I used to leave food out for a stray and the neighbours cat would come and eat it. He would even come and make himself at home on my sofa and he started going home less and less. I used to hold him at my house and go and tell the neighbour your cat is at mine. What I'm trying to say is there may be no reason at all, just the cat preferred to come to mine and not go home.  :shy: Maybe this is the case here?

I don't think its fair if the woman has been feeding the cat and has tempted it away from you Jennbear, why can she not keep her?

Are all your other cats neutered? Did you introduce another pet? Family member move in/leave?

Somthing must have triggered her to leave as she was fine before? How many other cats are there?
If you could get her home, even if it means borrowing a trap from CP you could set her up in her own room with loads of hidey places and start from scratch with introductions.

Rescues have big waiting lists at the moment always, so dont leave it until the situation is desperate as there wont be space.

She started to take a disliking to our other cats and started going off for a few days at a time then by all accounts the neighbours started to feed her cos she'd go and sit at their doors. I went round and told everyone to stop feeding her as she wasn't coming home anymore but they've continued to. The woman where she's moved into hasn't come to tell us she's been there and it was only last night that her neighbour came to see me to tell me she's there and has been for a while.

Why she couldn't have come and told me so I wasn't sat worrying all the time and could've done something sooner. We can never get hold of her to bring her in so had I known I would've asked her to keep hold of her so I could collect her and get a new loving home. Even if she didn't know it was us, she could've took her to the vets and got her scanned and they would've told her where she was from! grr

Is there any reason why she moved out? Did the neighbours tempt her in?

Thanks Ruth. I bought one while back but she won't even come over the doorstep now. She rarely comes into our garden but leaves to odd mouse now and again.... ....

Wish she would come home as we miss her loads but it wouldn't be fair to force her in  :(

Aw she is beautiful indeed......good luck with finding a home....but in the meantime you could try using a feliway diffuser from www.vetuk.co.uk that should hopefully destress the situation......it helps calm cats etc.....worth a try me thinks ;)

Please use a link to vetuk thru one of the cat charities  :thanks:

Hello All,

I'm looking for a new home for my cat Tallulah. She moved out a couple of months ago and has been living at a neighbours house. By all accounts they're not keen on keeping her so I am looking for someone who would like to adopt her permanently.

I would take her home in a shot however she has fallen out with our other cats so would need to find a home where she was the only pet (I'm not sure she likes dogs either) She doesn't really like to be fussed or cuddled but is a lovely lovely cat with a fantastic personality. She's approx 3 1/2 years old, full vaccinations and very independent.

I don't really want to take her to a shelter incase noone will want her but if I can't find her a home I'll have to as she needs somewhere that is her definite home.

If anyone in the Darlington or North East can be of help it would be much appreciated.  :thanks:

Here's a pic of her so you can see how bootiful she is.
