Oh how awful.  Poor woman must be devastated.  I was going to mention recliner chairs too.

 :'( so awful.
We do have one in the lounge and if we do use it I always without fail make sure the cats are shut out of the room while it’s being opened or closed.
It’s also chair recliners too they can be worse the hard metal arms underneath.  :(

I’ve just read something awful on another (non cat) forum. Someone posted because she is terribly upset and wanted to talk. She had accidentally killed her cat a couple of days ago because she put the sofa bed away not realising he was trapped inside. She found him when she hunted round for him when he didn’t appear for his tea that evening when she got home from work. Someone else commented that he’d heard of this happening to someone else as well. I thought I’d mention it here so kitty owners reading this are made aware of the danger.
