It does sound as if either the grass or the 'wommitin' see James Herriot books for reference, ;) was to blame. So relieved for you Alison.

Just as well to get him checked, but very likely just a small cut or tear in the mouth or throat. :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

Cats physiology is similar in a lot of ways, it could either be the sharp grass making tiny cuts, think how much a paper cut can bleed, or if he threw up violently it could have caused a tiny tear in his throat. Was it just streaks?

A few days ago I suspected Archie brought up fresh blood with grass in the garden but thought it may one of the feline visitors.

I must say the grass was very spiky. I am going to take him to the vet Monday but was wondering if anyone had an idea what it is. I wonder if the spiky  grass could be cutting his mouth or throat. There was saliva too :(
