Thank you Lynne, that is lovely :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:, I love Lance as keyholder. One of my very favourites of your lovely Hammies. I can't wait for Gill's installment too. I know she said she has written it.

Says she, written through tears and much nose blowing. :merry xmas:

You have honoured Gill perfectly, Lynn,
And how.  Beautiful tribute that Gill will love, and all our Bridge Babies will respect.  Bless you.

The Night Before Christmas 2017

The cats were gathered waiting to see
Where is the gatekeeper, where is the key
The Chief cat came forward in his eye was a tear
Listen closely my friends but have nothing to fear
On the night before Christmas

I have some news so you have to be brave
The gates cannot open, we have a sick slave
The poem must be read for the people to meet
So we can run free for a short while to greet
On the night before Christmas

Then all at once there was a soft gentle rustle
The smallest one stood in the hussle and bussle
He was tiny and sweet and he said my name’s Lance
I come with a key to give you a chance
On the night before Christmas

I was sent with it by a lady called Gill
She has been really quite poorly and ill
But I gave her your love and she gave me this gift
Great chief cat with your paw will you give me a lift
On the night before Christmas

So he lifted the little one and in the key went
The gates swung open wide and the magic was sent
Then cats all ran through and were united again
With their loved ones, their homes and their families and friends
On the night before Christmas

Love flowed like rivers
To takers from givers
Love lasts forever
It always delivers
On the night before Christmas

The real poem will be delivered when Gill is ready I’m sure but the gate had to be opened x
