I think you're right Gill, Butter is a boy and an utterly gorgeous one. I have two black and white cats and Butter looks very much like my Biggles in the pic where he is stretched out upside down, but when you see his face the markings are different. I
black cats and black and whites, especially when they have white paws. Of course I also
my Bunty who doesn't have white paws but she does have a cute black spot on her white nose.
He's obviously made himself very much at home and is even using his scratch post which is good news for your furniture.
