She seems good today and is begging for food as usual. I'm not sure about the stress as she hasn't had any changes at all to anything but you never know I suppose what goes on in their little heads. Daughter and I wrangled her for her meds fine today. I hold and open her mouth and she squirts it in! No getting off with the meds here
Fingers crossed she's on the mend. No blood in the tray today wither.

When Molly had cystitis I got some of these http://www.animeddirect.co.uk/feliway-cystease-capsules-pack-of-30.html and carried on giving them to her for a while. So far it hasn't come back.

Thank you Rosella. I'll see how she goes on and get some if need be.
She's actually a lot better already. She hasn't been in the tray again and no straining to wee all over the place and she is eating normally so hopefully it will clear up.
She didn't have a temperature but she wasn't best pleased about the thermometer up the rear end!

Just been through this with Dinah who is a martyr to stress related cystitis on occasion.  I think this may also help (with pain relief of course) ....

https://www.medicanimal.com/Cystophan/p/I0004537  Amongst other stuff it contains something akin to Zylkene which acts as a calming agent.

Putting old towels around edge of floor for her to pee on and keeping her confined to one bedroom seemed to help Dinah too.  In addition Dinah is on RC Urinary dry food which all of our lot love  :)

Hope Callie gets better toot sweet

Callie has cystitis

I noticed Callie in the dog bed this morning looking like she was having a wee! After she came out she had indeed and to my horror it was full of blood. Took her right to the vets and it seems she has cystitis. The trays were fine yesterday when I cleaned them but this morning I see some drops of blood there so it seems it has come on suddenly. Poor Callie is trying to pee everywhere but she has had an antibiotic injection and has painkillers if she needs them.
Not sure how she got that but hope it does not keep recurring for her sake and my wallets! She has only a little wet dry food each day but need to try and up her fluids to try and make sure she is weeing enough.
