for officially handing Bob his thread back Sue. TBH it didn't bother him that it was hijacked. He takes life as it comes and doesn't dwell on anything
You're right Mweekie, he is an incredibly chilled out lad. Extremely trusting nature with both humans and other cats. He is his dad's favourite.
Not sure what they put in the grub at Coventry Cat Group but have never come across such well balanced puds as 'im and his brother Boris
I suppose neither have ever known any ill treatment as they were born in rescue

Morning Bob - it's your Aunty Sue here.
I am just formally giving back to you your thread, by having another admiring peek at your gorgeousness, and thinking how fortunate my dear friend Rosella is that you share your life with her. Long may it continue.
Lovely lad.

For those of you wondering what on earth this all has to do with Bob, I apologise. I thought I was posting on the A Team thread. I get worse as I grow older.
Sorry Bob, shouldn't think you care at all for Corgis and I know for sure that you wouldn't understand the notion of not chasing birds .........

Neighbours of mine on the farm have six working gun dogs. yet they feed the birds in the garden. They even provide food to be given to them when they go on holiday. They worry especially in the winter that the gardens birds won't survive in the winter without their help. Yet every Saturday they go out slaughtering beautiful pheasants, or hunting deer and foxes. I find most hunting, shooting and fishing people claim to have a love for wildlife. They have pictures adorning their walls and claim they are helping to preserve their beloved wildlife by slaughtering them. I wonder if Hitler claimed he was preserving the human race by slaughtering the Jews.

I saw that too, Rosella. I guess when people have been raised in a fairly rarified atmosphere, they dont feel quite the same about taking down game birds, which they see as being bred for the table and for "sport."
I understand the Queen was once heard to comment that she had every sympathy for the Fox, so a conundrum indeed.
Am not a huge Corgi fan, if I'm honest. They always seem to be little dumpy dogs - it did make me smile though, when the Vet had scribbled down the questions to which he needed answers, and Her Majesty responded "I don't know - she's always been fat."

Like many I guess, I have been feeling quite warm towards the Queen for the way she has handled herself over the years. It therefore took me back not a little watching Antiques Roadshow last night. A woman had brought in a thank you card from the Queen addressed to the woman's father who was a vet when the Queen would have been in her late 20s.
The note thanked the vet for caring for her dog Susan and making sure that Susan's suffering was brief at the end. It went on to say that Susan had gone downhill very quickly and was only beating for them in a shoot a few days earlier. It made my blood run cold. I will never understand how a person can be so loving towards one animal and so callous towards another.
Mention was also made that all of the Queen's corgis have been descendants of Susan. Isn't that just plain weird? Perhaps not.

I must, simply must have posted pics of our lad at some point outside the "A Team" thread ........ surely?
He is Boris' brother. Both born mid April 2011. Boris came to us in late July 2011 and we collected Bob from Judith at Covcats (formerly known as Bertie) just before Christmas that year.
Bob gave us enormous cause for concern when he almost left us in 2012 after an awful spell of cat flu and again in 2013 fell foul of a nasty bout of flu altho not quite so bad but has finally turned into a strapping strong boy and fingers crossed is strong enough to fight off any nasty bugs in future.
In any event, I hereby present the outrageously adorable Bobby
Hoping the pics do our lad justice. He is simply the loveliest feline lad we have ever known
