My lot couldn't care less if I'm ill or upset, they have no intuition what-so-ever!!!  :evillaugh:

Mowgli and Connor have decided I needed a nurse cat today.

My back has been killing me for days. I suffer from fibromyalgia, and I have been very busy at work, sitting in the same position for far too long at a time. This means that my back, hips and legs hurt terribly, especially at night, so I don't sleep well, either.

This afternoon, the boys decided it had been enough, and lured me into bed for a cuddle. I fell asleep with the two of them cuddling up to me. I woke a few hours later, feeling a lot better, and with both cats still in the same position.

I couldn't wish for better nurses than them.

Cats can be great nurses.

My Steffie would nurse me wheneverI was ill. If I was hyperventilating in bed, she would lie down on my chest to force me to breathe properly, and if I suffered from insomnia, she would lie down along my side so I could put my hand on her flank, and she would start purring. The gentle vibrations would send me to sleep. I always said Steffie was a Reiki mater.

And Klaatu used to visit the psychogeriatric ward of the nursing home and snuggle up to senile people in their beds. The staff called him their day care volunteer.
