Bilbo Baggins has stated to grow his winter coat, we're up to about 4-5 inches so far but he won't grow his proper coat for another 2 weeks yet as he's indoors all the time at the moment. He's getting a lovely big ruff on him and huuuuge trousers  ;D

He is and I love him to bits  ;D

Last winter was his first winter with me and I was amazed to see the ruff, It has to be said that I think the birmans will grow them too and Duchas is quite large already but its more like a lions mane.

I think Misas ruff may just be starting but it will be early next year before its full grown. Its not really cold here yet!

Can't say I notice any difference between summer and winter coats with my furbs.  I've always put that down to the fact that they don't go outside and the temperature is pretty constant indoors.  Do other people with indoor cats notice a difference?
