Feral & Stray Foundation is dedicated to helping stray, feral and unwanted cats in the UK...
The Feral & Stray Foundation was set up to:
- Promote responsible pet ownership - the importance of neutering and microchipping pets.
- Encourage people to save a life and adopt from a shelter. If we breed and buy, stray and unwanted animals will continue to die..
- Develop a nationwide feral register. The register is an ideal way to place a single, pair, or small family of neutered feral cats into farms, equestrian centres and smallholdings. Used by local rescue organisations, the register would save the lives of feral cats and kittens, and be a huge benefit to the land owner in controlling pests safely.
- Develop neutering clinics using volunteer vets and nurses. Raise funds to pay for neutering & microchipping of stray, feral and unwanted cats. Assist with neutering for people on government benefits to ensure a reduction in breeding.
- Lobby the government to make neutering and microchipping law in the UK. Support organisations in policing unregistered breeding of animals.
- Encourage veterinary practices nationally to offer discounted neutering and chipping rates or run free or low-cost neutering clinics..
