maybe try the Mayhew with reference to their crisis refuge?
 http://themayhew.org/communityprojects/pet-refuge/
it is a scheme for people in personal crisis whereby animals are temporarily fostered when people are facing difficulties such as the situation you are in.
good luck xx
:) Please text CATS22 £5 to 70070 to feed a cat for a week :)

Maybe someone could foster them for you until you get yourself sorted? then you could have them back again? :(

Hi everyone and thank you for responding ..... yes, I've contacted many rescue centres from catchat list and others and still have some to go but it seems all are overwhelmed with long waiting lists. I don't belong to facebook any longer and have emailed celiahammond already but will persist with any option. I'm in Earlsfield, SW London. Homing the cats is my priority before I can even begin to think for myself.

So sorry to hear you are having to rehome your cats.

If CHAT can't home them ask them to put your story on their facebook page. They did a similar story last week with a dog that's owners had been made homeless and the dog was going to be put to sleep. They had lots of replies and offers of homes or foster homes. So worth a try.

Sorry that you are in this situation.  Have you rung round all the rescues and explained your situation?  It's best to go through a rescue so proper home checks are done, or try friend and family or someone you know and trust, if rescues are all full which is likely right now.

My two cats who are 11 years old face homelessness (as do I). They are female, spayed, microchipped and affectionate. They have been used to peace and quiet with the sole run of a large back garden with no street access. We currently live in Wandsworth, SW London. I do not own transport and am currently unable to work. The reason for our predicament is a repossession through no fault of our own.

They require a similar environment without dogs or children who is uber kind and sensitive.

Many thanks if this is you or someone you know.
