Well have some fantastic news
I popped posters up in local area and had a call today from a lady who lives fairly near.
Then have bee away on holiday for a while and on sept 9th they had a break in. The burglars left with a pc and left the back door open. They have 3 indoor only Persians and 2 hid but little twinkle decided to go  out and didn't find her way back. So she has been out coping on her own for nearly a month.
I took her back home today and she has lovely owners. Straight back with her brother and other Persian girl after a lot of sniffing
So she is back home thinner but safe

One of my local rescuers uses baby clothes on clipped cats, Tan, like baby grow things? Not sure how the fit on but there's also Thunder jackets which are now available in cat sizes.

So glad she's fetched up with your family, poor wee soul.  she is safe now thank the Gods.

She looks like a ultra Persian with not much nose , its a horrible way to breed as it affects the tear ducts as well as not being able to breathe properly .
My Pandora hasn't got much of a nose and sometimes opens her mouth to,breathe better and I have to check her tiny nostrils don't get dirty too.

If she is so thin, I would wait a few days first and try and fatten her up a bit .
You could gently try a soft brush to get her used to it.
Is she very flat faced ? That can make her eyes and nose run .
She could have a cold and antibiotics won't do her any harm , maybe synolux (sp)
I use make up pads from Asda 99p for about a 100 to clean my cats eyes and put some Optrex on them to clean with ,then dry with another pad.
If her eyes are runny some cream from the vets , fucithelmic (sp) .

When I got Winston,many years ago , he had to be completely shaved and it was winter ,so I got him the smallest dog coat I could and he wore it . You could also try a baby jumper,or something to keep her warm .

She also may have the herpes virus if left out a long time , that gives runny eyes and nose to , the vet should be able to check for that or it could be just a cold .

I am taking her to my step mum and my dads on Sunday. My step mum is very loving and i know will give her the very best  of anything she needs.
I have never seen a stray soo thin   breaks my heart. 

she is soo loving craving affection.

Gill, I don't know anything about Persians, she dribbles from her nose is that normal or can it be a cold?  The vet didn't seem to know!?
The vet said to give her cooked chicken and white fish for a while.

any more advice for her?

she is very matted. do we trim her and bath her but as she is soo thin will she need a coat to keep her warm?

Ahh, poor little soul ,she is beautiful , so sad  .
People just don't want the care that goes with Persians after a while .
Pity I am so far otherwise she would have been taken in by me .

Found 04/10/13 This little one has been found in the New Milton , Hampshire area seen hanging about since 30th September 2013. She is not chipped.
Found in a poor state extremely thin, very hungry, matted, had sharp thorns matted in her fur digging into her belly. very small. She is extremely thin about 2" wide on back  

I have taken her in to be checked by vet, no chip, and at the mo with my family taking care of her.  Vet est age to be about mid adult . Will be starting blood tests , treatment etc next week.
