Hi,
Please see below details of a cat that we desperately need to rehome as
soon as possible. Huckleberry is a stray cat that we have been feeding
for several months so his background is unknown.
He used to live in our porch but has recently started coming into the
house. This has caused major problems with our other cats as he is
aggressive towards them and the situation is becoming impossible.
We managed to catch him and get him to the vets so he has now been
neutered. We were hoping that this would alleviate the problem but he is
still aggressive towards our cats despite all our attempts to stop this
behaviour. We really have tried everything we can and don't know where
else to turn.
I was wondering if any recues could help? We could use the Direct Rehoming option whereby you
could assess the new owners and carry out a homecheck. Then you or the
new owners could collect Huckleberry from here to take to his new home.
We are willing to donate money towards the cost of rehoming him.
I've attached some photos of him to this message.
Name of cat: Huckleberry
Age: Unknown but approx. 3 - 6 years old.
Sex: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Markings: Half white and half tabby. The tip of his left ear has been
snipped to indicate that he has been neutered.
Neutered: Yes
Vaccinated: No
Microchipped: No
Health:
His general health is good, he has been recently checked over by a vet.
Indoor/Outdoor:
He is an outdoor cat.
Likes/Dislikes:
He likes lots of attention and loves being cuddled and stroked. He also
likes to play and sit outside in the sun.
Compatibility:
I don't know if he would get on with children as we don't have any and
the same applies to dogs. He is aggressive towards our cats so would be
better off on his own.
Character:
He is a bit timid at first with new people but once he gains your
confidence, he is a very friendly and loving cat. He's quite independent
but also likes lots of attention.
