The first thing you need to do is to get an address.........the right address and not a made up one

If there is no address, the RSPCA can't do anything.

The RSPCA are the best people to contact - even if you contacted CP, they can't prosecute, whereas the RSPCA can, so either them or the police, they are the only bodies who will be able to do something to stop this woman.

I have to agree. If someone said "I'll meet you at the end of my road" I'd immediately be suspicious. Especially with regards to taking on an animal and handing over £100.

They may be educated, so why didn't they find the whole situation a little odd? That aside, there isn't much that can be done without an address. Is there any way of maybe getting the police to contact the phone company and explain the situation?They might be able to get an address from if the SIM was registered. I'm pretty sure what's happening would be classed as gaining money by deception.(ie:fraud) If I can think of anything else, I'll PM you.

forever... do you mean the solicitor couple collect a kitten they had paid money for at the end of a road due to not being able to locate the breeders house ? ( sorry getting abit confused)

my initial questions are (putting aside my acutal feelings towards the breeder for minute)

why and earth would educated people agree and enter into such a "dodgey" type of dealing ?? to be honest if anyone says they go ahead to save the kittens anyway then surely to my mind would be to not go ahead and contact rspca/sspca and wait in area until you are satisfied they have attended..if they dont keep phoning and possibly call police aswell.

did the people not see where the breeder and kitten emerged from nor notice which house they went back to ?

The circumstance of this seems to scream out " warning bells"

Also have this couple registered on purrs or how have they come to light ?

There is a difference between interest in helping and making decisions. I do think you are very brave for wanting to take this on, but still my word of caution in having the RSPCA do it on your behalf or even CPL is still there. It is a shame that there isnt a correct address for this women.
Without this there is nothing that anyone can do

Lets hope the owners of Boddy and the Kitten that died follow this up and do all the can to help RSPCA stop this Evil person.

I think that, if you want the RSPCA to turn up at the door then to let the RSPCA do their own thing on this.
It's criminal what this woman is doing, I agree, and very sad that we don't have the authority to act legally. If you have a phone number, as I am sure Susan will have in order to be able to get the kitten, then that should be given to the RSPCA and dealt with by them.

I think people are interested but would collect all relevant details and hand them over to authorities. They can decide if "sting" operations are necessary or not.

If the owners of the kitten that died are solicitors then they themselves are in the best situation to have this "breeder" investigated and hopefully stopped.

Presumably bobbys owner and the other couple who bought a kitten will know the proper address since they went to collect the kitten.

I'm very sorry to hear this but Im afraid I'm not too clear on the circumstances - is this another couple who bought a ktiten from the same person as Susan bought Bobby from?

I agree it's terrible but I also agree with Ruth that we have to leave it to the authorities. The one thing that we all can do is not buy sickly kittens from these kind of ads. That's not meant to be a dig at Susan or anyone else who's bought a kitten from someone like this, but these people will continue to do what they're doing so long as there are people prepared to pay large sums of money for kittens. These people will only stop what they're doing when they can't sell the kittens.

I appreciate this is very upsetting for many of us, and clearly for you. Dealing with the authorities, and many will argue that its not always productive, is the best way to deal with rogue people like this.
To achieve this I can't see another way other than having the authorities such as the RSPCA start the process.

IM IN TEARS ERE

A woman sold a couple a little girl kitten and she didnt make it she died
the couple spent over 400 on vets bills

and the couple paid her over 100 for the kitten

im really upset
