Hi everyone, I'm Michelle and a newbie to you. I am a proud mummy to two tortie's however (and apologies for the doom and gloom) I lost one of them a week ago today to an unexpected sudden illness. I'm heartbroken as is her surviving playmate.
I bought Pebbles and BamBam from different litters but they have been together with me since Pebbles was 9 weeks and BamBam was 6 weeks old. They turned 3 earlier this year. They are indoor cats so they were very close, thick as thieves and always up to something together. They did have their fights and slapping matches but all was forgotten again after a few minutes (or BamBam would just give in knowing Pebbles would win!).
Pebbles has always acted more mature than her age but occasionally has silly moments and at the moment I am trying to keep her occupied with this "da bird" toy which she loves. She is a little podgy (since spayed) so I do try to get her running about. BamBam was always the more energetic of the two. In fact that's how I knew something was wrong as she stopped running up the walls for the laser pen and stopped dangling from the top bannister looking for a chase. She entertained us greatly with her funny poses; her favourite being to lie on her back with all legs in the air, fast asleep. She was sold far too young which meant she remained a baby despite being 3 years old. She wouldn't go to sleep at night unless she was tucked into my armpit, under my arm and she was sucking her paws. Even up to her last night with us, last Thursday...
I'm attaching a picture of them together and one of poor BamBam who I miss dearly, they are my little princesses and friends and I am lost without BamBam
It's been the longest week of my life and I feel cheated that I only got 3 years with her, she was taken far too soon.
I love cats so I am looking forward to having a nose through the site and at all your piccies of your princes/princesses too,
Michelle
