Just to reinforce my apologies and  to Purrs Sally and wish you the very best of luck with The Newham Cat Society    Lovely idea    I am based in Brum so a tad too far for me ....

I don't know what to make of the Cat Cafe idea as, whilst I do have misgivings, I can't see Mayhew getting involved in anything that would be harmful to their rescue cats so suppose it'll just be a question of seeing how it works when it's open

No I am not involved in the cat cafe at all, nor am I related (or Lauren Pears)

Lauren came to our meeting last month to talk about the cat cafe and I have been updating members as to the progress of the project since then.

I understand that the idea is contentious, but dont let that put you off the Cat society!

You're not related to Lauren Pears or anything silly like that are you Sally?  Really hate to be so suspicious but t'internet can be such a temptation sometimes to perhaps not be as candid and upfront as we might otherwise be.

Three months ago I created a new group for cat lovers living in London and wanted to let you all know about it – we are looking for not only members but also people willing to come and speak about all things cat!

We meet on the first Monday of every month at a Community Centre in Stratford – last month we had Lauren Pears come and talk to us about opening the Uk’s first Cat Cafe- tomorrow we are cooking cat food for our cats!  We also have some plans for the future, but would love new members to join and make the club really vibrant!
