:'( sad

I knew he'd built areas all around his home so his cats could play outside at their leisure whilst being kept safe. The areas prevented them getting in harms way, but allowed for a fun outdoors experience.  I saw a photograph showing how his cats could safely leave the house via a window going into an outside play area enclosed with a mesh.

I only know because i came across an award for best famous cat lover and sir Patrick Moore was one of the nominees.

Ahh, I KNEW there must be a reason I liked him so much... a cat lover, that explains it.

He was such a character wasn't he? Very sad.

Sadly, Patrick Moore passed away last weekend.

I knew he was a cat lover but I only found out a few days ago that he'd published a book earlier this year called 'Cats Really Are Nicer than People'; here's a youtube clip of him being interviewed about the book and his cats:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=qNZ4yqnqZUI

You can't change the world by rescuing one cat, but for that one cat you are changing its world.
