II understand that once you register for Gift Aid that the Registration dept will look into the Charity and decide from when you can claim Gift Aid. How nice it would be if they decided you could claim back for the last 6 years, subject of course to you being able to get the known donors to complete declaration forms.

Great news Ron - shame you can't backdate it to get extra money from the auction. Still its good news if more admin getting people to do forms etc.

That is wonderful news Ron, I hope the benefits work out for you. I find it is easier to get people to agree to things when you are a registered charity. Gift aid is a wonderful thing too - we ask for a £35 donation, and Gift Aid on that is £9.80.
Please spay your cat

Wonderful news. as you know extra benefits, gift aid, and you will be able to look into how not to pay VAT on advertising, medications & any new fixed pens and the foundations etc .
