Cydric, one of Lucy's grown kittens who came to live with me a long time after Fred and Victoria, has begun bullying Victoria. This takes the form of biting her bum - at least it looks like that - which upsets her. She's starting to have the look of a grumpy cat.
Why has he begun to do this to her? She doesn't provoke him. There's been no change in the environment; I've been a bit ill with balance problems but most of the cats have just stayed clear of my feet. He seems to be especially likely to do this before meals, or as I'm serving up (their meals).
He isn't mounting her, just biting her behind.
Fred, her brother, isn't doing anything to defend her even though he's the largest cat and one they all respect. I've told Cydric off, he'll look sheepish for a while, then carry on as normal. A few hours later, he'll nip her bum again!
I would be very grateful for any advice. I would like him to stop doing this, otherwise I may have to consider rehoming him, which I'd hate to do. He's one of my 'children' and I've put lots of effort into socialising him - he was a feral. And, of course, I'd miss him terribly. But Victoria is getting very miserable.
Thanks.
