Hope you and your wife are coping now, Peejay. And to anyone else who has been traumatised by seeing death at close quarters

It is not a nice thing to witness.  Early in the summer we were travelling through a little village and I was behind a 4 x 4 which ran over a cat and kept going I was so shocked i screamed.  My husband was in the car with we and we pulled over got a blanket out the back of the car and wrapped the cat in it.  I stayed with the poor thing at the side of the road whilst my husband tried to find the owner.  Other cars also stopped to make sure everything was ok.  We found the house and returned the poor thing to the owners.
But this left us shocked and upset and had to return home.
Why do people do this leave messes for someone else to tidy up.  shocking

I've seen a cat hit by a car and killed too. It's a horrible experience that stays with you for a while

At least the driver stopped, hopefully they'll be able to trace his/her owners  :(

Best thing you can do is give Misty an extra hug when you see her next

It helps to share sometimes.  The horror of witnessing such a thing is a huge burden to shoulder.       Poor little cat.    :'(  I hope its owners can be found and told.  If not, that's not your fault

I have no idea why I'm even posting this but it really got to me :(

It got hit by a car and the amount of blood shocked me, poor thing tried to move but it was obvious this was one kitty going to the great kitty play land in the sky :(

My wife was inconsolable and I felt sick to my stomach, what was worse was we were late for the last train of the day so couldn't stay but the driver was trying to find the owners.

RIP poor kitty :(
