We had a trip to the man in the white coat today. Lois and her babies were very good in the car.
Lois` babies now have names, partly thanks to Judith.
Womble (Judith`s fab idea) is a black boy, very round and cuddly at the mo.
Lulu is a black and white girl, the nosey one.
William (after an ancient cat a friend fostered, and who used to come to me for his hols) is also a black boy.
Lottie is a tortie-white girl.
The reason for the vet trip was to see if what Judith, Angie and I have come to suspect over the last few days is true. We have kept this under out hats until it was official.
The vet confirmed that both William and Lottie have CH, similar to cerebal palsy in humans. Lottie is moderately affected with a marked head sweep especially when she is focusing on something. William (much like his namesake, Wibbly William) has a slight head shake. Lottie is able to feed, has started to play with Lulu, and has been the most mobile and active of them all.
We dont know what the future will hold for them, especially Lottie. Have decided to wait and see how she develops in the next few weeks before even thinking of what sort of special home she and William will need. As the vet said so honestly, "she will either thrive or break your hearts."
