Great news!
I'm constantly surprised by animals' willingness to trust us, no matter what we've done to them.

Hi it's Daisy's auntie Chez. I gotta say her mom is right, we went to see her last week and she's really mischievous, she has turned into a right little diva! She's absolutely gorgeous! It's lovely to see how her personality has come out and her mom and dad have done a great job with her, I just wish all the little souls out there could have the same happy ending, but for now we all do what we can.

Best wishes to all,

Chez D

There's nothing more delightful than hearing about a norty kitty - especially one who had such a dreadful breach of trust committed in the first few weeks of life.  That Daisy is learning from Missie Mischief is just wunnerful  ;D :evillaugh:

Such a pretty little girl! She certainly HAS landed on her 4 paws Chez!! x

Nothing to do with Daisy but i had mentioned him earlier-Tiny, the cat with the terribly sore skin. The owner agreed to give him up as he couldn't give him the tablets and a lady i know had offered to take him as she's experienced in looking after cats with skin problems. I took him to her on Monday and within a couple of days she said he was looking better and by Friday, the scabs over his eyes had gone!!  He didn't have his tooth out cos the vet said his immune system was so low....but shouldn't be too far off now! Another happy ending!   :Luv2: :Luv2:

Just need the owner to give me his last kitten now....... He seemed a bit harrassed yesterday when i picked up mom cat to take her to have stitches out........ ;)

Hi there,

I'm Daisy's auntie and I went to take some photos of her today, she's so gorgeous and has certainly fallen on all four paws with her new mom and dad who love her very much. She has a special place in our hearts as my husband and I helped to catch her and we're so pleased we can go and give her a cuddle whenever we like!

Hello!

I'm Daisy's new mom and i am pleased to tell you all that, considering what she has gone through, she is doing brilliant! As you can see from my profile picture she's doing really well and putting on a bit of weight. She's very playful, uses her litter tray, constantly groomes herself and loves lots of cuddles. She's also getting on with her big sisters!

After reading all your messages I thought you would all like to know how well she's doing.

Helen   :Luv: x

The owner seems a nice bloke-he has 4 kittens (wants to keep one!) and  another neutered adult.  He said the PDSA gave the cat treament, which cleared it up, but then it keeps coming back and he can't afford to take the cat (Tiny)  back!!!!!

Oh Lord - poor little mite.  And yet he remains so loving.   Perhaps they felt it had got too bad to take to thevet for sake of embarrassment or whatever.  How could they just leave him though to suffer like that?

The 'throwing from a car' scenario is not uncommon, sadly. We pick up several of them every year.  >:(

I know what you mean Sue! We're doing a mass neuter/spay at a couple of houses at the moment ........at one, all but one of the cats are in good condition......he has a terrible skin allergy which hasn't had any treatment since last November  :'( He has red raw skin on his stomach,  inside of his legs, above his eyes and even round his back end......i took him to the vets on Monday and the vet fell in love with him!!   ;D  Every time she moved her hand away he headbutted her for more, bless him! Also discovered he's got a very bad tooth which will be removed on Friday!! I went to pick up another cat last night and he was outside....i expected me to hide when he saw me but he let me fuss him-awwww!!  :Luv2:

Am so pleased to hear this turned out well for McGrace/Daisy, bles her.  It never ceases to amaze me the infinite capacity animals have to forgive and to trust in situations like these.  I don't think I could ever be that trusting again if I'd gone through that sort of treatment.  Am glad Daisy has fallen for her new family though.  She deserves the best.

Just had a call from the CP volunteer! 'Daisy' is coming on brilliantly! She's fallen in love with her 38 year old nephew and vice versa! She  (the kitten!) lies on his neck, purrs like a motorbike. Has let him remove the sticklebacks from her fur.......a happy ending for this little girl!  :Luv2: :Luv2:

Sorry for the delay, i've been to London!

Little 'McGrace' is a little girl,  about 9 weeks old. :'(  She was given an anti biotic injection, flea and worm treated, but, fortunately, has no injuries!  :wow: She also had a few 'sticklebacks' (?) on her.......don't understand that part if she was a pet

It all happened so fast, the man didn't even get to see what make of car it was, never mind a registration number!  :(

The car park mainly belongs to Lidyl (sp), McDonalds is at the far end away from the road,  and i rang the Council before i left to see if there are any cameras at that end of the town, but they couldn't tell me-need to report to RSPCA for them to ask??????? I was about to leave for London so asked someone else to do that.....

Little Grace will be staying with one of the CP volunteers family   She was doing fine when i asked yesterday, obviously still nervous, but will get there   :Luv2: :Luv2:

Poor thing.  What goes through their minds?  Nothing probably!

Remember the gorgeous ginger and white young male we had?  If I remember rightly he had been neutered, so someone had bothered.  But he was thrown from a car by someone in Rugby.  Brought in to us by an RSPCA inspector on Sunday afternoon (we had been recommended to her).  (Thanks Pauline - Wellcat :shify:)

He found a lovely home, but the lady who is a health professional, swears that he was not right at first.  We did of course have a vet check, and nothing obvious was found to be wrong with him.

Remember, Macdonalds do have cameras in operation, should it become an RSPCA matter.  Helpful to know a rough time it happened.  ;)
