The Lily Warning.

When I was on here before I wrote about the lack of warning about lilies bought in shops and supermarkets. Since then I have noticed that there is a warning on the labels now but quite small, so I am still approaching people who have put them in their trollies.

The outcome is that

1. They don't have a cat

2 They are for someone who doesn't have a cat

3. They didn't see the warning but it didn't apply to them anyway.

4. They hadn't seen the warning as it was small and they did have a cat or was buying them for someone with a cat and would put the lilies back and buy something else.

I think all flowers and potted plants bought in supermarkets should be made to carry a warning if they are toxic to cats.

Two years ago I bought a really fantastic expensive house-plant in a supermarket. When I got home I found it was toxic to cats and gave it away, if only I had known in advance I would have saved a lot of money.
