Hi Ems

How exciting getting a new addition to your family, when I went to pick up Sam, I wanted to take several back with me!

With the tickling of the tum, I read that is quite a vulnerable part of the cat so if he lets you do that, he must be quite trusting! 

You have thought of most things reading your list, but dont forget a few toys for him and a water bowl!  Also when Jake is settled dont forget to post a pic please.

The cat flap can wait as he won't be allowed out for a minimum of four weeks anyway! (If you decide he's indoor/outdoor. Some people don't.)

Some cheap small toys are always a good thing to get, ready for when the confidence levels grow but I think you've got everything covered with your list!

Hi All,

I have a new cat!!!!!!!!! WEll will have soon!!!! His name is Jake, he black with white breast and white feet. Two years old. Came in as his previous owner fell pregnant and no longer wanted him. I went to meet some of the cats at the cats protection in Nuthall and Jake was the third one i had met and immeditely he let me stroke him and he even laid on his back and let me stroke his belly!!!! Which they assured me as a very good sign???? When Jake met my little boy he was fine and didn't really bother, let him stroke him etc. So we agreed on him. Have home visit tomorrow then hopefully collect our new addition on tues or wednesday!!!!!!!!!! I'm really excited! Am off cat shopping tomorrow, thinking of what i need, i'm thinking new bed, new scratch post, litter tray and litter, food. Can anyone else think of anything more i need? Also do i need to get a cat flap???????????

Godfrey is soooo gorgeous he reminds me so much of my Dylan both in looks and nature and funnily enough when Dylan was with our branch he was in ages and kept being overlooked which was why I just had to have him being such a tabby fan. I hope someone gives him a home soon he is fab (as are all the others too of course)

We going to see some cats at the cats protection tomorrow as already arranged and if no joy will also enquire about Gedfrey bless him Will check out that link too, had a scoot on there and the cats are all soooo yummy and adorable!!!! Decisions decisions!lol Someone said once that the cat chooses you so shall meet afew (with the kids too) and see which one chooses us as it were! Thanks hun

Hope your all ok and enjoying the sunshine lol, Well thought i'd let you know i still haven't heard anything about rehoming my work collegues catl, she says she'll contact me but haven't heard anything, i honestly dont' mind ppl changing there mind but do wish they would let me know lol. Anyhow going to go to the RSPCA on sunday in Nottm to see if they have any cats to offer that are short haired, around 1-2 years old and will be ok with the kids. Fingers crossed for me or if anyone knows of any cats in that description that would love a new loving home let me know
