We have ours well covered, we have left them everything and my youngest nephew has already said he want to live with them so he has the use of the house during the animals life time and then gets the lot any way we have left instructions on the vets and all the clan foibles and trust Scott to do everything for them - he loves the dogs and cats to bits but can't have pets as his Dad is asmathtic so he gets an overdose when here

I've recently written a will, I get a death in service grant from my pension so have left a £10,000 lump sum from that  for the boys' future care. I have stipulated that they must not be separated and that the absolute last resort would be for them to go in a rescue pen/cattery environment as they really don't do well in such an environment, who would choose a cat who hisses at them from a pen!

I've also written a lettter about their personalities, routine, their likes and dislikes so any new owner isn't left guessing.

Threre is also a system using a charity.....bloomin forgot name again..............but you have to register with them before inclusion of details in will.

Trouble is one doesnt ever get to hear how good they are for obvious reasons!

Yes we have made arrangements by leaving an amount per animal and including a letter of wishes addressed to my executors attached to my Will as to how to use this and how to find homes.  Purrs gets a mention as a good source of info for cat rescues although I have indicated rescues that cats came from should initially be contacted except in the case of Freddie who came from RSPCA.

No other beneficiaries get a bean unless the cats are permanently homed.

The letter of wishes also refers to a list of all cats with their details including any chronic ailments.  Thankfully one of my executors is my best friend and I trust her completely.

Serious topic.  Have you made arrangements for your cats or other pets in your Will?  I've been thinking recently about this and concerned that if my cats had to go to a cat rescue the best would be done by them.  Particularly in the case of cats who are disabled or have an ongoing health problem.  Are there any cat rescues who promise not to PTS any cats like this?
