I had a real "aaaaaaah" moment today. Archie is allowed in our garden when supervised as he is unable to jump the fence and hasn't been chipped yet, whereas Ella comes and goes and thinks it is the most amazing thing that there is a back, a front and a roof to this house. Ella is a very sociable cat and has made friends with several of the cats in the area and they often visit the garden, so I am in cat heaven! Ella tried with Archie but basically all he wants to do is fight and as she is quite serene, she is not keen. She will just sit and moan whilst he jumps up and down on her head. She has tried to clean him but that is just an invitation for a fight. So most of the time she ignores him. He hero worships her so when not trying to maul her, he will sleep near her but too close or he gets a back off growl .
Today I was taking pics of the house as I am off to see my mum tomorrow and due to health issues she hasn't seen the house. I was out front and Archie sauntered out and was playing in the front garden but he wandered into the front of next doors. Suddenly Ella leapt from the fence and was wailing and rushed to Archie's side and kissed him. She then pushed him back towards the house........ I thought it was so sweet (well up until the point Archie thought she wanted a fight and jumped on her head).
