Gourmet Perle is a similar texture to AGAIL.

I have been racking my brain - the only thing I can think of is Bozita - I can only speak for the Crayfish flavour - even then, only when you buy it in 6 packs (apparently made in a different country to the 10 packs) it says chunks in Jelly on the carton but it is more of a slop - like a stewed meat. a carton is about £1 and equivilent to 4 pouches of Gourmet Gold, except with a much higher meat content & no cereals/soya.

Has anyone tried AGAIL cans?
 That might be a cheaper option as the pouches aren't a lot cheaper than gourmet Perle (unless on offer)

What texture is gourmet pearl?  I don't think I've ever fed that so I don't know.

Cost effective good wet foods include hi life essentials - 4 small tins for £1 from Asda - but that is pate.  Tesco do a premium foil tray food - just nature or something - they are only 22p per tray.
Have you looked on zooplus?  They have a good range of foods and they often have special offers on plus they tend to be cheaper if you buy in bulk.

I know your dilemma with this but maybe worth trying the Felix as Good as it Looks range of food.  They are not chunks of meat like the ordinary cat food as one of mine won't eat chunks in jelly or gravy since the vets tried to get him to eat the special urinary diet meat back in August. 

Remember they will be more fussy if not 100% well with their food.

Ok so you may have seen on another thread that Katie has cystitis at the moment which is hopefully getting better!

I do feed her a combination of James Wellbeloved and Pets at Home own brand and the vet says I should include at least some wet in her diet.

The thing is, the only wet food she'll eat happily is Gourmet Pearl stuff which is really expensive (my partner and I are both unemployed at the moment and so money is really, really tight). Are there any other cheaper alternatives that is the same texture. I've tried her in the past on Classic, Felix, Sheba, Applaws, Nature's Best and she eats a tiny amount and it ends up going off in her bowl and I throw most of it away!

When we're working again she can have all the Gourmet she wants, but just wondering if there's something I can substitute in the mean time???

PS: Is there any dried food which you can add water to?
