Sorry - but it seems like every foster puss I take in has some sort of issues. We've done urine infections, fleas, bad teeth, tummies and itchy skin all in the last 3 months. But Jango beats them all. He's a lovely lovely big neutered ginger tom possibly about 3-5 years old. He's so affectionate and gorgeous that I've been (and still am) tempted to adopt him myself. However he's been trying to hump me every time we cuddle. He's quite persistent and comes back again if I push him away. I don't like it (not surprisingly) but I can put up with it and move away when he starts, but I'm anxious if I do adopt him he'll do the same to Mog (my resident cat). She's a gentle, slightly timid cat and obviously quite a bit smaller than him - she's been spayed.
What's happening? will it settle down if/when he settles in? Should I take him to the vets? He had a very brief health check at the vets when he first arrived but he'd only been here a day or two then and this hadn't started. I don't know how long ago he was neutered. He came from the council dog pound and i think he'd been there several months. I don't think he'd been neutered whilst there ..... not least because when it came to sorting the paperwork out to take him to rescue they had him down as a ? pregnant female.
