What he does like to play with are my hairbands and tosses them in the air or pushes them around the kitchen floor or bathroom like he's dribbling a football.

My two are exactly the same, Drum leaps up in the air and pounces on them, and both of them pick them up and run off with them, I keep finding old ones under the furniture!
You can't change the world by rescuing one cat, but for that one cat you are changing its world.

Noah is also very affectionate and hates others cats - and dogs and noises and children - and I do feel guilty for leaving him when I work long shifts. But just think what the alternative would be to your loving and safe home if rescue cats couldn't go to anyone who worked.

Maybe Harvey is telling you that he doesn't need a BFF (best fur friend) as he prefers the ornament?  :evillaugh: Noah and my friend's indoor single cat both love mylar balls, they are sold in the Purrs shop. Noah also likes pinging and then chewing rubber bands (I take them off him obviously).
:'( My beautiful Noah rescued 13/02/09, adopted 11/10/09, taken 11/02/11 :'( You deserved so much more.

Thanks for the nice replies, Harvey is his new name and he is a hunk or should it read chunk, he's on a bit of a diet atm as he weighed in at 6kg on his annual visit!

I did have loads of toys for him when I first got him but he doesn't play with any of them except for the honeysuckle squirrel.  He gives it a fling now and again or wrestles it if I throw it to him.  I've bought him some new honeysuckle toys tonight from the purrs shop as its looking well mangy.  He had da-bird but he runs away from it!  Also the play cubes but he sits in it and rolls a bit, but it collapses on him as he's so big and he runs off.  Other than that he lies in it and falls asleep....

What he does like to play with are my hairbands and tosses them in the air or pushes them around the kitchen floor or bathroom like he's dribbling a football.  He also pushes them under the door waiting for me to push it back under from the other side, I must look mental playing it with him :shy:

He hadn't slept on the cabinet before and he hasn't since, not sure why he did that day so I've left the ornament where it is for now.  It was just funny he got into the same sleeping position as it  :Luv:

I'm sure he's fine and its me trying to think of an excuse to get more cats haha!

Bonnie is gorgeous too Mary, so sweet sleeping on your ornament  :)

Aaaw Debbie he is beautiful - what's his name now?

I wouldn't risk leaving that ornament there if he's gonne jump up too often it will get broken being at the front.

Wouldn't worry too much about him being lonely.  Cat's sleep a lot and so long as you pay him attention when you are at home he will be ok.

My Smudge (R.I.P) was exactly the same when I worked full time he would follow me everywhee and sit onthe edge of the bath when I was in the bath and in the sink when I was on the loo

Does he have plenty of toys etc.?  I think you are worrying too much.

Bonnie always sits close to ornaments that I have - I leave her a massive space on the window sill and yet she still cuddles up to them and even leans her head onthem as you can see in this pic.

Mary
Love me, love my cat - don't love my cat... S*D off! R.I.P Smudgie - sleep well my precious little darling, I miss you so much. 01.02.94-15.04.08 x Look after the beautiful Bonnie Bum, I took her pain away 02.04.15 x Tisha was with me 3 weeks and then I had to take her pain away 1.7.15 x

I've had my gorgeous boy for just over a year now (I got him from a rescue from these pages previously he was 'Tarzan')

Anyway, he's a fabulous boy, affectionate and mainly sleeps and eats whilst I'm at work and never goes missing or wants to stay out overnight which was one of my concerns after my last cat went missing and never returned.

I always wonder though if he's lonely, as I can work long hours and he can be sat in the window waiting for me some nights.  He also follows me around the house and generally sleeps/sits/lies in the room where I am - even the bathroom if I'm in the bath!  I don't think he likes other cats though as he growls through the patio at them and attempts to chase the small ones away.  He's a big scaredy cat though and runs off from the bigger ones.

It made me laugh then when I saw him here almost cuddling my cat ornament and had to take a pic - is he trying to send a subliminal message???
