Warm radiators tend to attract cats. Sleeping cats means no playing cats. No playing cats during the evening = hyper cats at night. At least when they're called Mosi
Saturday night I was threatening him with rehoming! Bedtime at approx 1am. Late due to my nodding off on the sofa
Jaffa comes to bed with me and settles down on his hot water bottle. Mosi has a bit of a frisky five minutes but seems to settle. I have trouble sleeping and am only just dropping off at about 2.15am when Mosi starts his night time antics - whine whine play with me whine whine... climbing walls, climbing door frames, whining a bit more, pushing the bedroom door wide open so that all the cold air from the hall and under the front door comes into the bedroom. So time out follows and he does actually go quiet. Until about 5am when it starts all over again with the addition of door scratching. I decide to ignore him but Jaffa gets up to investigate and as shutting Mosi in the living room means shutting Jaffa out, I pretty much have to respond. So I open the door and let Mosi through. He continues his antics and tries to get Jaffa to join in (Jaffa is a good boy but I can tell he's tempted!). So I'm afraid the pair of them got shut in the living room. Silence until 7am. Whine whine from Jaffa who is outraged at being shut out and don't I know it's way past breakfast time anyway? So up I get to sort them out and feed them before crawling back into bed and trying to ignore Mosi pawing at my face.

I do try to play with him in the evenings but frankly Mosi has discovered a particularly cosy spot on the bed and when the radiator is on he likes to lie there rather than play. But Mosi needs to do some running around in the evening if I'm to get him to sleep through the night.
