Amazingly, the vets found him a home!  ;D

Sharon had been trying other avenues such as Bredhurst but no need now  :)

I'm sure the vets would have 'vetted' the home  :evillaugh:

The offer is definitely there for the attic, but I would be very wary of integrating a cat with Kylie unless I was 100% sure there would be no aggression. I know it is a different situation, but a couple of months ago, one of the tortie visitors didn't manage to get away from Kylie in time and there were clumps of fur everywhere. I was fussing her on the fence a few days later and she had a nasty gash. I kept an eye on her in case it got any worse - luckily it didn't.

I have left a message with Silvana at Romney house to see if she has any suggestions, although I don't want to put her under any more pressure than she is under already.

I do hope something can be sorted, it is a shame about yours Mark - I know how bad Kizzy was with Normal and Jeannie - Norman was partially blind and deaf, JEannie was fully, but think it might have been the deafness that bothered her more, as they obviously ignored her when she hissed at them!!
Please spay your cat

Hi mark.. i am told he was living with 2 other cats both non FIV and when tested again both remained FIV neg... If you really mean about the short term foster then i will have a chat with Caroline.. he isnt not vac but that can be sorted.. But it may be that he is there for all of Dec if our rehoming never picks up in time.. Although we have a advert in the press this  wk.. we still have another cat that needs our help a Hyper T cat as well that is living outside! and a poorl owned kitten from Gumtree add its never ending!

Sorry Sharon - I thought you said he was blind. Will amend title.

Don't forget my attic bedroom is there for a short-term foster if needed.

Still havent found a place for t his one.. At present nothing is moving we even have problems with finding out where to put a sickly kitten!! I was told that this boy is grey (?) and is okay with kids (older children).. has lived with cats... and seemed to be fine.. I am not aware how long he has been partially sighed, he can see so not totally blind at all... Does really well so the vet nurse says... everywhere is full and its terrible!

Am crossposting on catchat - thanks

At a push, we could keep him here short term, but not fair n a blind cat with Kylie being aggressive.

Mark how sad - Do hope something can be sorted for him.

Do you think a cross-post on Catchat would be an idea?

Know there are a number of FIV owners on there. They have even started up an FIV information channel on Youtube  ;D after that episode of Animal 24.7 that covered "feline aids"  >:(.

Might be worth a try.

Sharon asked me to post as she can't get into Purrs for some reason.

The cat was handed into a vets in Deal (Kent) 10 days ago. He was originally a stray and the people integrated him with their own 2 cats. They have had to go into shared accommodation and the other people have cats and refuse to allow an FIV cat in with theirs  :(

I am assuming he was taken for PTS. The vets (the other branch of my own vets) always try to rehome. Sharon has asked them for the weekend to try. I have an emergency rescue to try, but obviously it would be better for a blind cat to go to a home situation than a rescue.

Please PM me or Sharon.
