Aww hun, I know exactly how you feel - I look at all the wee ones needing homes and it breaks my heart. I now have a spare room and a garage and enough space for lots more cats, but I know that it would upset Katie and cause us no end of stress to bring in another one. I think a trial might be best or offer to foster the little one with a view to keeping her... good luck with whatever you decide!

Fostering is a good idea, but it depends if you have a spare room to be able to keep them separate.

Would you consider fostering? It's easier for a  rescue to find a forever home for a kitten than an oldie or adult with a health condition, so some foster situations would be long term if that is what you wanted.

Maybe the current carer would take her back if it doesnt work with your two cats?

Worth asking but make sure the cat is in good health and has been vacinated. 

 The one thing you dont need is too bring in a cat who is not fully healthy and could infect yours.

It's a tough one, my immediate reaction would be don't rock the boat but then balanced against that is the opportunity for a rescue cat/kitten to have a fab home. Lots of people have more than 2 cats but for me it would be the worry of making the resident cats unhappy, especially as they have a limited territory.

Hi Everyone!
I have posted on here some time ago about everyones thoughts on rehoming another cat.
I already have 2 14 month old females - indoor cats as we live in a flat - they both get on brilliantly and are very happy.

Last time I enquired the general advice was not to get another as theyre so happy now, and also they dont have a big 'territory'.
I didnt want to rock the boat and upset them as they are both my world!

However I cant help noticing the growing number of cats without homes and would love to help in the small way I can and give another a home.

Mitzi is timid so would be okay with another cat - Tansy is a little crazy and from experience is not keen on the smell of other cats - although she loves dogs and rats haha! My sister bought her up with dogs, but her siblings died very young and so Mitzi is the only cat she has known.

However I think she would accept a kitten - shes very very playful as is Mitzi and they both love ecah other.

I LOVE all animals and another would be cherished just as much.

Does anyone have any advice - is this an awful idea or can it work?
Id love to have a kitten that hasnt been homed for ages and give them a new start - theres so many out there

I wish I could do more.
